Wow, that sucks. Those lightning and skin lighting enhancements looked pretty cool. Then they have the gall to say be modest or no more Pc ports. I wonder why they couldn't make a current gen port.
The i7 860 is a very old processor by most of today's standards, so even though the label i7 is there doesn't necessarily make it a processor hog.

Are there more than 2 Japanese game companies that can make actually good ports? All I can name off the top of my head is Kojima Productions and that's it.
That's a first gen i7 right?
Yup, launched nearly 6 years ago

uh, source?
Hmph, that's pretty shit of them to call it Last Round if it doesn't have any of the Last Round enhancements. I'm sure the modders will take care of the problems while they're busy taking the obvious route anyway. I don't know much about game modding, but I do know that there are already mods for the console versions and that the models have already been ripped from the Xbone/PS4 versions. If it's that easy to mess with just the console versions I bet the PC version will be a modder's playground.
There goes my hype.
Hmph, that's pretty shit of them to call it Last Round if it doesn't have any of the Last Round enhancements. Doubt it will actually need an i7. My i5-760 will probably still be enough. No games have yet not run properly. And I have played games like BF4 and planetside 2... and again, the fuck? All you had to do was NOT FUCK UP..
WELP
stop being stupid and realise that 'i7' can refer to literally any i7 intel has ever produced. any relatively modern CPU will probably do perfectly fine. this was just a weird choice of specifications to list on K-T's part [editline]17th March 2015[/editline] i don't exactly have high hopes for this version of DoA5, but at least give it a release before jumping to conclusions
Even if its a 6 year old CPU, we're talking about a game was made to run on 8 or 9 year old hardware. It also needs a mid range kepler or equivalent GPU. It sounds poorly optimized considering what it was made for, compared to say Metal Gear Solid V: GZ on PC which can run at 4k @ 60 fps on my 4 year old PC.

Spending additional R&D on stuff that can run on 6 year old hardware has diminishing returns.

People are debating if it is a good port and the quality of the work put into it.
There was that port of that jrpg that was a ps3 exclusive, I heard it was good.
Are you talking about Neptunia?
It was something chronicles, I don't remember.
Valkyria Chronicles
Valkyria Chronicles
Yeah that's it, I should've looked it up. I haven't heard any complaints about that so it must be an alright port. It's a shame a bigger dev with a much bigger fan base can't get it right. Hopefully this won't encourage others to get lazy too.
Koei Tecmo's ports are horrible, DW8XLCE and DW8E prove that. It's sad that DoA5 will suffer the same fate.

TN/KT boggles my mind, like why do the harder and more time consuming thing?

Remember what Gabe Newell said? Gamers moaned how game dev's these days drop DX9 and Windows XP, the but real reason was that its easier to work with DX11 and x86 code. That's a fact.
But for years we've been hearing that ps3's cell architecture is hell to develop and port from. It still probably would've taken less work to port the 360/One/4 than the ps3 version. It's still pretty dumb. Edit: Ninja'd bruh :(
Are there more than 2 Japanese game companies that can make actually good ports? The PC version of Dark Souls 2 was the only one that could run at 60FPS.
