The marine power armor looks like an evolved form of the Rangers armor. Nice, makes sense since if I recall the armor was worn by marines.
So this is like PL except not ugly?

The story actually gives you a surprising amount of choices and decisions to actually think about before you go and do something. The characters are really well written, and the island is huge. The weapon/armor variants are incredibly interesting too, and adds a lot more than in PL.
it has some of things of point lookout, but overall it's a lot more vertical and has a lot more going on than just swamp elements
Does it have hilarious inbred locals? They were the best thing about PL along with the trippy as fuck sewing needle drugfest...
Can I actaully play this without having progressed much in FO4 story? Beceuse I thought the main game was terrible and boring to play. I cant exactly get rid of my season pass that I bought on launch.
I think you just need to have gotten to Valentine.
Yeah I did make it to that part but not far beyond that! Awesome thank you.
I think you just need to have gotten to Valentine.
I believe you have to complete the quest where you meet Valentine and the quest right after that (I believe it's still the same quest) where [sp]you kill Kellogg[/sp]
I'm hoping they actually modeled a lot of it after Mount Desert Island, we don't really get any sort of media that focuses on Maine unless it's something Stephen King related.
One of the things that I think are annoying is that the pipboy map isn't accurate. Well, at least it seems pretty inaccurate to me. Other than that, I really recommend bringing valentine. Also, ( warning, spoilers for main game and far harbor [sp]so far I haven't found a peaceful way to bring the synths in for the Institute. I was kinda hoping for some cool stuff like with the synths at the secret base around covenant[/sp]
I believe you have to complete the quest where you meet Valentine and the quest right after that (I believe it's still the same quest) where [sp]you kill Kellogg[/sp]
Nah, you just need to complete "Getting a Clue" You don't have to follow Dogmeat afterwards, you can just wait until the Far Harbor quest and the radio signal pop up, listen in, then legit start the DLC.
I think you just need to have gotten to Valentine.
You actually don't even need to do that, you can go straight to the house at the north-east corner of the map and immediately do the questline at level 1
