His immediate game development projects are comprised of unspecified levels of involvement with game tie-ins to the upcoming Tintin -- to be published by Ubisoft -- and a game -- likely to be published by Warner Bros. -- based on The Hobbit films, which he is producing (but not directing). Jackson specifically said that "I am kind of involved with a Tintin game and obviously the beginning of The Hobbit game." He also implied there will be game adaptations of "all of the other scripts we are working on at the moment." But Jackson stated his intention to work on projects that are conceived first as games, not movies. "I think some of the ideas I've got, I'd rather do them as a standalone game," he said, "because that world is getting more and more interesting."
This may cause improvements in the abysmal movie-to-game lack of quality, and hints that he may still be open to adapting games to the big screen. Peter Jackson was to direct the Halo movie, which looked to be far better than the games. For those who don't know, Peter Jackson directed the Lord of the Rings movies. I for one really hope he does make original games. As long as he knows to listen to the game designers when they say that something won't work.
I thought at some point he was working on a Halo game.
The King Kong game was fucking awesome, albeit short.
If his games are even half as good as his movies this is gonna be fucking awesome.
I thought at some point he was working on a Halo game.
Got canceled.
There is a hobbit game, but it sucks.
i heard he was also making a hobbit movie but only god knows when that will be released.
King Kong for the console was epic. Perhaps we may have hope. So far, the only good movie-based games I can name off the top of my head are the Star Wars series of games and the James Bond series of games. Perhaps Jackson may add to this.
please please please make more games like indigo prophecy
please please please make more games like indigo prophecy
But without the atrocious Mayan-plot twist, also known as the "Fahrenheit-syndrome", or "Indigo Prophecy-syndrome", if you're American.

Why did they cancel the Halo movie, so much potential :frown:
I thought at some point he was working on a Halo game.
he was working on a Halo movie. but was put on hold
Then 3 days ago Microsoft reponded saying that the movie is on hold until other Halo projects are finished.
Thank god.
I loved Peter Jackson's King Kong. Rented it for PS2. Best Movie Game I've ever played.
