ATI Radeon HD 4770 Promo Video - An After Effects Test Video
46 replies, posted
Lately I've been watching a lot of After Effects tutorials and I want to make something. Well, here it is:
[hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlcxOI5Z7Og&hd=1[/hd]
After Effects version: CS4
• Number of layers: 14 excluding layers in pre-comps
• Motion blur enabled
• Frame rate: 30
• Resolution: 1280x720
Render time: 7 minutes
Length: 38 seconds
Final editing: Sony Vegas Pro 9
The tutorial that I watched: http://www.videocopilot.net/basic
C&C please, I would like to improve. Thanks!
Edit: Oh ya, those who think that it takes too long to render this short video, here's the reason: Athlon X2 7850 (2.8 GHz). I hope to switch to Athlon II X4 soon.
very simple, i like it :)
That type of ad looks like it should play before a movie in a big theater. Or before a game at a video game expo. Very good job.
Thanks for the positive comments guys!
Simple and to the point, easy readability and effective.
Good job.
I know the arrow was indeed very fitting, (it's also a cool video great job) Using stuff from videocopilot is okay(and a great start, by the way), but you should eventually be able to make your own expressions after a while.
Criticism would probably be that after you introduce the card, a fast beat music tone comes up, and it montages alot of games in action sequences (like every beat) for like 30 secs, then has some cool ending :v:
All in all great job dude, especially if you are just beginning
Anything that I can improve so far?
Edit: Didn't notice the above post. I thought about that too, maybe I should put short gameplay videos? All the stuff that are from Video Copilot are the music, the font and the arrow, that's all.
Just said :v:
Seems like something you would see at a theater before the movie came on.
I believe you meant the 4850

I have that just an x2, don't believe it is 100$
Good and simple. 4850 is more worth it since they are priced very closed together.
hey thats what i have
Why does everything have Parkinson's?
I think you should have made the card at the end move forward slowly, instead of shake.
Otherwise, well done.
Yeah really, way too much camera shake.
Why does everything have Parkinson's?
Because the performance is too much that the card cannot contain it.

Thanks, will use that advice next time.
It's great. The only minor thing I disliked was the technical specifications of it. Well, it sounds cool, but I think most of the PC users don't give a shit about it, but rather some info they can relate to shit they know about their current GPU etc.
Other than, great job. It's simple yet extensive.

Not quite. It was moderate, which is good as it shows that the card is so fucking awesome.
17 - 23 is bland
It was okay.
There wasn't any other effects apart from the two text ones you used, the shake and that arrow.
I liked it, with the music an' all, but it was a bit bland for my tastes.
I liked it all, except for the font you used.
I see someones bin hitting the ol' video copilot a little too hard eh?,
good job nonetheless.

The ONLY thing that bothers me about it is the background.
I think that either it should change some how, or be slowly moving somehow in any way.
Everything else was good!
The ending felt a bit cut short, but aside form that it was neat :D
It took 7 mintues to render text and two pictures for 30 seconds?
I would buy
BTW I have the last card in the series, which unfortunately wasn't as good as this one, I'm actually thinking of buying this one.
