We have no need to fear- COMIC SANS TYPEWRITER IS HERE!
Typeface geeks, avert your eyes. Someone came up with the idea to ruin the old-school charms of a typewriter by adding cringeworthy Comic Sans.
Designer Jesse England says he invented what he calls the Sincerity Machine after reading a typewritten document, and realizing there was nothing stopping him from giving the words a different look. In a demonstration video, he explains his philosophy behind trolling every design snob on Earth.
“While making it, I thought a lot about the Comic Sans typeface and how ridiculed it is. But it is also a mark of sincerity for those who do not have graphic design experience. I’m not particularly enamored with this font, but I don’t think it deserves the flak it gets.”
England used a laser engraving machine to etch Comic Sans letters and glued them onto the strikers of a 1970s Brother Charger 11 typewriter. He then cut vinyl to create new key covers so you know what you’re getting yourself into when you type. See how it works (and try not to wince) below.
I disagree. The issue with Comic Sans is the way it's used, and not the typeface it's self.
Here, have a song about it.

I want this in my house.

Didn't someone make a "comic serif" font once, and it was actually good?
not even using the superior Wingdings
0/10
do all typewriters have fixed width typefaces?
I've got a friend in college who does all his coursework in comic sans in admiration of how bad it is. I'm sure he would love this.
In my digital media class I always changed the text in my scripts to Comic Sans to piss the teacher off

My father's girlfriend has the most hilariously bad sense of interior decor you've ever seen and our walls are covered in stupid stickers with motivational quotes about coffee written in Papyrus. It's enough to drive you insane.
There's only one reason why I'll never be able to truly hate it, and that's this:

comic sans is actually a very good font choice for dyslexics because of it's weighting and kerning.

opendyslexic is good but you have to keep in mind cases where custom typefaces can or may not be used (accessibility for one, not everyone knows about custom fonts or how to install them, plus comic sans being a default font definitely makes it a viable choice.)
comic sans is definitely not a pretty font but I wouldn't dismiss it entirely as a joke/shit font. my boyfriend has definitely found use in it.
best font

Computer Modern is where it's at. Failing that; Cambria.
Sincerity my ass. That thing, and the artists quote, just leaks sarcasm.
