finally a decent game to grab

I absolutely love the On The House program.
I use Origin a lot more these days because of it.
Now if only Uplay had any redeemable qualities.
Neat, I bought the C&C collection before and can now get another part of my childhood. I wish 3000 was on Origin.
Man if only they also offered SimCopter with this. I'd be fucking happy.

The PS1 version of SC2000 has a mode where you could take a car tour of your city.
It's not as cool as SimCopter or Streets Of SimCity but it's still neat.

Huh. I never knew this, cool.
Already own it on GoG, but why not.
Would've perferred SimCity 3000 but I will take what I can get
Already got the physical copy :v:

This whole non user-hostile EA thing is getting creepy.
The hate train goes around, right now its on Ubisoft. Before EA it was activision and before then it was EA again :v:
I'll still never understand why people absolutely hate origin, and EA now. EA and origin are doing really good, and in my opinion better than Steam. They've fixed every business practice that affects the end user.
About time they changed what was On the House. It was Crusader: No Regret for like 3 months. Bonus points for not just lazily putting Peggle up for free yet again too.
Had a physical copy of this back in the day. Quite a fun game.
Streets Of SimCity
I played the hell out of that game growing up. I simply love it. Shame it doesn't really work on new PCs, and they never made any more.

For me all the enemy cars just bounced up and down like 10 meters up in the air everywhere :(
I remember buying this for $10 from a discount bin in Dunedin in 2002.
Played the fuck out of it.
Played the shit out of this game, it's really awesome. I highly recommend getting it if you don't already have it. It's free. I've never played SimCity 3000, but this game was probably one of the first games I played on computer, along with Sims 2 (and Nancy Drew, shhh).

Maxis / EA never had anything to do with that game, they just published it.
The reason it never had any sequels is because it got such awful ratings and didn't sell well. I played it back in the day but I wasn't particularly fond of it because it was so crude compared to other car games of the time.
And like all old games like that, you can run them in a Windows 98SE VM decently.

It's your decision, but christ.
I was planning to rebuy this from GOG recently, glad I didn't have to!
Nvm
Maybe they should revive SC2k Network Edition so they can see what an online SimCity game is supposed to be like.
Playing that game was an exercise in figuring out how to be the biggest asshole in the world while also building a city.

and it was amazing, every second of it

fuck i remember nancy drew
apparently they are STILL making those goddamn games
I now have this on GoG and Origin. I used to have a disk copy, regret trading that away. I have a disk copy of 1, 3000, and 4/Rush Hour, if only I'd kept that SC2K disk...
They should make the original The Sims also available
I would like to point out that I own 29 games on Origin and have paid for one of them.
That one was also $1.
That one was also Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition.
I used to hate EA but I can't deny that they're just getting more and more chill as of recent.

Where did you you heard someone talk about how much they hate EA/Origin?
MY CHILDHOOD!
