The Obama administration views Israel as one of the top spying threats facing its intelligence services, leaked documents reveal. A secret budget request obtained by The Washington Post from former NSA contractor Edward Snowden lumps Israel alongside U.S. foes Iran and Cuba as “key targets” for U.S. counterintelligence efforts. Makes sense. Being so close to Israel, it would be idiotic not to keep a close eye on them.
I guess Israel's tendency toward trigger-happiness extends to their intelligence services as well.
I don't get why the US keeps Israel as a close ally. I mean obviously they're a geopolitical ally, but with all the shit they pull up in the middle east, stealing technology and selling US missiles to the Chinese, it's about time we gave them the finger. Hell, a lot of French politicians are pretty mad when it comes to Israel, going as far as to claim "Israel comes before France".
Good job Snowden, Israel really needed to know about that. I don't believe his contributions have improved anything at this point.
Well maybe some strained US-Israeli relations will stop the US from blindly supporting whatever Israel does.

Though the Soviet Union is gone, Russia is still a major antagonist of the US and inherited most of the USSR's allied nations - including Syria and others around the Middle East. So this means the US will keep its relations with its ally in the game - Israel. Also there's an Evangelical movement in the US that believe that the End Times will come when the Jews have a home and so support Israel blindly for such.
Good job Snowden, Israel really needed to know about that. I don't believe his contributions have improved anything at this point.
Maybe it might stop the US and it's massive funding of the war mongering bullying middle eastern state.

What a twist!
Makes sense really. The whole region is unstable as all hell, and I'm sure we've been a little more alert since the USS Liberty Incident
Except this is really optimistic thinking. I'd like to mention that no one here really knows what's going on up in the military in regards to Israel. The fact that we have counterintelligence operations against someone who at face value is an ally doesn't seem to be something that helps the American people to release. This coming to light could jeopardize something our government is trying to do that we don't know about.
What's the issue with being optimistic?
You can't lose the support of the jews, it's political suicide.
Why, it's not like they're above everyone else. Well, sure, those zionist pieces of shit do think so, but regular jews don't.
I've been told that if anybody ever tells you they're a CIA agent they're probably Israeli.
