How much can I expect this to be to repair for a 2012 Chevy Sonic? The dealership charged $85 to diagnose the problem and it will be another $220 to fix because rat damage isn't covered by the warranty. Am I being ripped off?
At least on my Slaab this was one of the cheapest and easiest fixes I did. I don't know how the sonic is laid out but for the Slaab it was like 10 bucks at NAPA for a new segment of hose and a few minutes of replacing.
Wiper fluid line? You mean the stuff that's $1/foot at the store? Yeah you're being ripped off.

Depends on where it was though; is it in some inaccessible place where you have to R&I everything to change it out?

Knowing dealerships, you did. They probably soldered like 2 wires back together and charged ya all that dough. But meh.

Washer fluid lines are the same small air lines you use for like a small air pump with an aquarium or whatever else people use it for. Take your jack out, pop the wheel off, carefully pop clips out to take the fender liners off and go at it. I'd suggest running your car by a tire shop and getting your lugnuts torqued or maybe getting a tire rotation at the same time. Just remember you tighten down lug nuts in a crisscross pattern. If it's just a washer fluid line, you're looking at like $1-5 dollars and 2 hours of your time if you're unfamiliar with the car.
