... I'm not sure if these threads are a ban-able offense (if so, please lock), but I just thought I would share this with you. Anyway, it was a pretty sad day at school today for we all learned of our fellow student's death. Yesterday, my good friend Steph was helping his brother and his father remove some trees from their newly acquired piece of land using a Kubota tractor with a fork attachment... One of these: Now, Steph has plenty of experience using such heavy machinery, since he works for a contracting company. From what I understood in the news report, Steph had a tree between the forks which was too heavy for the loader. This caused the loader to tip over, right onto Steph. His brother ran to save him, but I guess it was too late. He was crushed by 2800kg of heavy machinery. Steph was part of the school's shop class, so today a huge cross was made in the wood shop to commemorate him, and all of his friends signed it. We later headed to his piece of land to put up the cross where the tractor fell on him. We were about 60 people in a little neck of the woods. We took our turn to say a little something, and to put something by the cross. His girlfriend out the teddy bear he gave her, which pretty much reduced us to tears. Anyway, tomorrow we're going to have our own little ceremony at school. Forgot to mention that today we took off his locker door and replaced it with a Plexiglas sheet. The students took turns signing it and putting up pictures. It was pretty sad. I'm not looking for some sympathy, I just felt like sharing this with you guys. R.I.P Steph, you will be missed. 1992 - 2010 Edit: Forgot to add, we took a drink in honor of him today. We had some real good times together. We're also planing a big 4-wheeling expedition for Saturday. He loved doing that - I'm quite excited.
You have our condolences.
Damn that's sad as hell, sorry bout that man
That's terrible I really feel sorry for you.
Rated you heart. :( Sorry for your loss, man.
Aww. It's never good when somebody dies.
Thank you all.
It must of been a horrible sight seeing him crushed.
Sorry to hear that man.
I can't imagine what it must be like to lose a close friend. Must be horrible.
:( At least he died in a somewhat manly way. My grandfather died when a woodchipper he was attempting to stop from exploding exploded under him, sending saws ripping through his body. He lived long enough to say goodbye to his immediate family and saved the lives of at least 4 lumber mill workers.
You have my condolences. I feel really bad for you, I know what it's like to lose a good friend.
Damn, being crushed to death seems awful.
Very sorry to hear that. You have my condolences.
Poor guy... I actually got a little sad while reading this. :frown:
I've never lost a close friend, but I'd be devastated if one of them died. Sorry for your loss.

:sigh: -internet hug-
:frown:
I forgot who said it but, something along the lines of: I know nothing we say is going to really make you feel better since your fried is gone, but just know that we are thinking about you.
What a terrible way to die, sorry for your lost. I died a bit inside I wish there was an auto-ban feature, so if you rate funny you will be banned for like a week
Brought tears to my eyes, very sorry to hear...

Should have gotten sliced in half, would've been a better story. Oh, and sorry for your loss. (User was banned for this post ("Dumb" - SteveUK))

That is a true manly death.
