Forensic evidence shows Michael Brown’s blood on the gun, on the uniform and inside the car of Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, law enforcement officials said, information they believe potentially corroborates the officer’s story that the unarmed 18-year-old tried to take his gun. The evidence will make it harder for the Justice Department to prosecute Wilson on federal charges that he violated Brown’s civil rights, said the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the case. Such evidence would also make it difficult for a county grand jury to indict Wilson on state charges, such as murder or manslaughter, said county sources who also are prohibited from talking on the record about the pending case.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/authorities-say-michael-browns-blood-found-on-gun-inside-police-car/2014/10/18/577e1a9a-56f2-11e4-ba4b-f6333e2c0453_story.html It'll be interesting how the jury rules on this case.
Obviously planted by the racist cops!
This is still news? That whole deal was pretty much an open-and-shut case.
can we just forget about this bullshit? this entire thing was spun the fuck up by the media.
This is still going?
of course theres blood on the gun, he did shoot a person
of course theres blood on the gun, he did shoot a person
The story the liberal news media liked to push was that he was tens of feet away when he was shot.
who fucking cares.
who fucking cares.
The black community in Ferguson does. Because they know that if the cops get a bad reputation, they can loot and riot as much as they want, and the media will be on their side.
This is still news? That whole deal was pretty much an open-and-shut case.
B-b-but but he's black!
but muh justice for mike brown chants
The black community in Ferguson does. Because they know that if the cops get a bad reputation, they can loot and riot as much as they want, and the media will be on their side.
Wow. That is so not what that was.
The black community in Ferguson does. Because they know that if the cops get a bad reputation, they can loot and riot as much as they want, and the media will be on their side.
But the entire black community wasn't looting. It was just a few morons.
This is still going?
criminal investigatiosn tends to take some time
But the entire black community wasn't looting. It was just a few morons.
in fact, there was/is a large amount of anti-looters, notably members of gangs.
The black community in Ferguson does. Because they know that if the cops get a bad reputation, they can loot and riot as much as they want, and the media will be on their side.
why does the entire black community in ferugson only want to riot and steal and break things. like i still wouldn't agree with you but i would have got it if you just said they misunderstood the shooting. you're really going for broke with this man [editline]20th October[/editline] how would that even work anyway? how would every black person in ferguson be in on this plot to smash and steal stuff that has a decent chance of literally being theirs to begin with. are there no black people in ferguson who own stores? or cars?
There was a witness that even said the gun went off inside the car when Brown was leaning in it fighting with the cop. Physical evidence backing up a witness is really important. Words only go so far, especially since lawyers are snakes and will dive into 30 years of your life history to try and twist how a jury will weigh what you say

Even if Michael Brown is determined to be guilty, the protests in Ferguson still mean something. I hope people don't forget that. The protests aren't all about this one case, it's about a series of cases and the current state of post-racial America. I feel like I had more to say about this, but I've forgotten.

A pretty big portion of the protestors were black, and a lot of them were looting and rioting. I'm sorry if that came off as racist, that's just the way it seems. Still, you can't deny the fact that the media is almost completely in favor of the rioters.

I'm not really sure how this is news other than confirming what was said by both parties. Cop said he went for the gun, his friend says the cop grabbed his arm and pulled him forward and when Michael pulled back he fired. This proves nothing either way.
lot of them were looting and rioting.
CNN and MSNBC were on the scene and said the looting was sporadic and minimal, especially after the first day.

It was a select few, some of whom had come from other states with the intention of causing a ruckus. Many citizens stood in front of stores armed with assault rifles, deterring anyone who might decide to break into a business. They did this while the police were busy with tear gas. And when they broke into McDonald's? The needed to get milk from the fridges in there to help soothe the pain of those with eyes full of tear gas. Any "rioting" was provoked by the police, who were treating peaceful protests as riots. And when you treat peaceful protesters like they're rioting, they're likely to start rioting. What happened with Michael Brown isn't the entire story. The Ferguson Police really have some explaining to do on how they dealt with the protests, regardless of Brown's innocence.

Darren Wilson (from what we've heard of his story, don't think it was officially released?) said Brown leaned in the window and they were fighting inside the car when the first shot was fired. Blood inside the car and on Wilson's uniform would point to Brown having been shot inside the car, which backs up Wilson's version.
Clearly, Wilson pistol whipped Brown before killing him.

The two versions (Johnson and Wilson) are remarkably consistent in terms of what a witness further away would see... Although I have to say I don't really see a 5'10 170lb (or something like that) cop manhandling someone who is 6"4 and 292lb.
This is consistent with all the witness reports, there was a struggle through the window and a shot was fired. Wilson said he grabbed for the gun and witnesses said Wilson grabbed him through the window. Either way, he was shot at point blank and of course there is blood on the weapon. Doesn't really change anything. I'm not looking forward to what will happen if the federal grand jury doesn't even indict him. The acquital that set off the LA riots was a full year after the incident. People don't forget.
