CNN and MSNBC Enter San Bernadino Shooting Suspects' Apartment, a Crime Scene, Rummage Through Perso
A baffling, surreal scene just played out on the two networks, where the landlord of the San Bernardino shooting suspects apparently allowed reporters into their apartment.
The result was disturbing. On live national television, reporters sifted through the remains of the lives of Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik. They picked over children’s toys. They held up photos, speculating about whether the woman depicted in one might be Malik. They displayed Social Security cards and driver’s licenses with readily identifiable information—and not just for the deceased suspects:
The networks say the landlord let them in, the landlord says they forced their way in.
What a fucking embarrassment.
I hope they get arrested for interfering with a crime scene like that
So, Fox news isn't the worst news in America?
Are pigs also flying?

CNN and MSNBC are terrible too.
Always remember CNN as the network that speculated whether or not MH370 was sucked into a black hole on live TV.
What the actual fuck.
There has to be a law against this kind of shit.

Well I would expect nothing less from the Clinton News Network, but this is a new low.

All news is terrible.
Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to show the SSN and the address of the shooters mother? She didn't have anything to do with it and now both scammers and vigilantes will want revenge.

wtf, source?
Here's CNN lamenting how horrible it is that the media was rummaging through their home while showing their own footage of their cameras rummaging through their home.

It's like wild vultures fighting over a dead corpse tearing it apart bit by bit

Fox News was present. The worst thing the Fox crew did was pan over a gift card on a coffee table. Other than that they just filmed some boxes of diapers, a few tapestries with Arabic on them, and a Quran.
Nightcrawler anyone?

It was just a brief mention in passing, but the fact that they showed those Tweets in the first place and built a graphic for them, and discussed them for any amount of time is just the epitome of what CNN does, get a big story, talk about it 24/7 for a month, and spare no detail or random, needless speculation until the next big story comes up.
I want more, go down the rabbit hole mainstream media.
This is beyond scummy, holy shit
from police sources, apparently the investigators already went through and collected the evidence they considered necessary for the followup
but this is still extremely atrocious
so like, are they going to get charged or what?

Probably not.

I guess that makes sense, if it was still an active crime scene police would still be guarding the place I believe.

Well they highlighted a question that someone asked about it on twitter and basically said "no, it didn't".
The bigger problem is news media responding to audience tweets live on tv. It's stupid and not news.
They even allowed random people into the place/didn't stop them
One guy walked in and took a Popsicle out of the apartment
All news is terrible.
*Except the Onion
Everyone knew what was going to happen with the baby pictures and yet he kept going lol, someone charge this guy for showing CP on TV please
Displaying those social security numbers on TV is enough to get them charged tbh
So... I guess all the things we're taught never to do in journalism school, that we'd be fired if we did them, are just suggestions on how not to be a shit human being. Noted.
Storming in and just showing everything that shouldn't been shown on live television is downright silly.
I'm honestly surprised I don't hear shootings happen to media networks instead of schools all things considered
100% not saying it should happen, but someone would interpret it this way anyways
don't worry, im sure just the anchor will be fired at most and fucking nothing will happen to MSNBC
