Whether it's arriving at the pearly gates, being reincarnated as some obscure animal, or being locked in a black void for eternity. Everyone has a different idea of what death is like. Personally, I can't even comprehend what could happen. It won't 'just be all black' because you would need a mind to be able to process the information to tell you it's black, and ears to tell you it is silent. What do you think? Will it just be nothing? the end of your biological self? Will it be a marvellous cloud-land of eternal happiness and love? Let's not turn this into a religious argument, yes?
I think it will be just nothing. As said in the OP, the end of my biological self. Sounds boring yes, but it's what makes most sense to me.
I don't think death is really the end but maybe you exist in another state of conciseness or some uncomprehending form. It would be really boring though just being a ghost and watch for eternity as humans progress and you can only but watch.

If anything. Im not anticipating it though..
I think it is either: The electricity in your brain disperses, therefore everything ends, but you won't even notice it. Or The electricity in your brain disperses, but in that last moment you immagine yourself something else or somewhere else, and since our brain can make one second seem endless to us, we remain there forever (at least that is what we think, in reality not even one second). I believe the first one. Edit: Also we won't really "end" since we are the electricity in our brains (neurons and electrical charges are our toughts) we "disperse" and mix with other stuff, so we don't end, but for our consciousness it's more or less the same thing.
i believe in reincarnation but not the same way as what most believers of reincarnation believe. Energy can never be destroyed, it can just change shape, form or whatever. so i guess that could apply to all other things sooo we could be reincarnated into anything. air, water, people again

The matter that is our body effectively rots away/gets burned into another form of matter, ashes, soil.
Spaztastik got a point. But I still thing our mind will end completely, and we will not thing anything ever again, because the electric impulses in your brain disappears. Still, the electricity that was there could go over into heat and such, and in that way the energy that was in you can be transferred.

well when you die.... your body shuts down and stops working "disabling" the ability to think, hear, see or live...
I like to think that as your physical body dies you retain consciousness. I guess technically like a ghost but I don't see it exactly that way.
Matter can be destroyed, it's energy that can't. To destroy matter, just mix it with Anti-Matter.
Matter cannot be created or destroyed, although it may be rearranged, and changed into different types of particles. Off topic though.
Interesting that you say that. When I had take a shift to watch my grandpa a few hours when he was a few days away from death. He was in a near death state from acute leukemia and it was like he was reliving his entire life backwards. He was saying things out loud and had facial expressions. He started out around before he retired as a bus driver and eventually reached a child like state before he died. He also saw some creepy shit like a dead women talking to him that died that said she died from cancer before anyone knew in the complex. There was also a small book about hours before death the building managers gave us and it was accurate to the very last detail. :ghost:

It's like sleeping except for (much) longer and without dreams.
Personally, I'm hoping for some awesome pearly gates action.
Do you guys remember before you were born? That's exactly how death feels.
I don't wanna die! :(
i think u go up to god and he disides wats best for u
You usually post with better grammar (I've seen it) and your posting something very controversial that will surely spark some kind of flaming. At least you could hide the fact that you are trolling a bit better.
