• Custom Masks from Shapes in Photoshop?
    3 replies, posted
I have a bit of a problem and I haven't found any tips on google yet. Basically lets say I have a big "S". I want a gradient mask along the perimeter of it to make it look like the S is fading in evenly. How can I do that?
Highlight the S shape (I usually do it fast by control a, hit left, then right, tada the shape is lighlighted.) Create new layer, add mask while the shape is still highlighted
Yeah I've gotten that far, thanks though. At that point I'm unsure how to fade a gradient along the outside of my custom mask shape.
