Holy shit all of my money.
That was amazing.
Looks amazing, don't really like the look of the unit cards though.
Looks amazing, don't really like the look of the unit cards though.
It's probably a pre-alpha thing, at least I hope so since they look worse than the original Rome: Total War.
It's probably a pre-alpha thing, at least I hope so since they look worse than the original Rome: Total War.
much is still alpha also like the shogun 2 battle horn but by the time its going to get released its probably different
AI brings archers within 20 feet of roman cav unprotected. Hopefully they're working on the AI still.
Looks amazing, don't really like the look of the unit cards though.
I like them, but they will more then likely be changed.
AI brings archers within 20 feet of roman cav unprotected. Hopefully they're working on the AI still.
I assume it's scripted stuff mainly. The archers right on the side of the road kill a bunch and, theoretically, a spearman company rushes out and engages the enemy. It happened with most of the archer companies, anyway.
It's probably a pre-alpha thing, at least I hope so since they look worse than the original Rome: Total War.
I like them, they fit the aesthetic of the time period.
Imagine something of this kind but like Natural Selection 2. Some kind of a combination of this and Chivalry. It would be awesome imo.
Those environments look so much better at enforcing tactics than in the previous games. Can't wait. Scared to see what the file size for this game will be though.
Hot Damn, i fucking want this.
It's probably a pre-alpha thing, at least I hope so since they look worse than the original Rome: Total War.
Nope, apparently the unit cards are based on pottery from that period.
oh fucking awesome [editline]23rd April 2013[/editline] there's no way this will run on my laptop, shit
oh fucking awesome [editline]23rd April 2013[/editline] there's no way this will run on my laptop, shit
depends on cpu, but shogun 2 was able to get turned down pretty fucking low, and this looks similar (in terms of graphics engine)
I'm sad because I know my little craptop won't be able to handle this.
i wish campaign ambushes could be as complicated
I love History on Rome I think I will buy this
Glad to see that units are a lot more responsive to commands, especially while shifting formation Always hated trying to turn to face a charge and watching my units derp around for 5 seconds
i wish campaign ambushes could be as complicated
They'll be more complicated than in previous games. They said it starts out with one army in a column, and it doesn't get to set up, like in the video.
Looks amazing, don't really like the look of the unit cards though.
I like them. Like with Shogun 2 they're going for the art style of that era.
Nope, apparently the unit cards are based on pottery from that period.
Yep Roman (And I'm assuming Greek) unit cards are based on Greco-Roman pottery and the other factions have their own cards based on what kind of images they produced in their time.
The escaping from the berserkers was actually pretty tense, very cinematic.
I like the idea of the unit cards, I just wish they had a little bit more flair and polish. Right now they look like super simple stencils, and I can't really tell what each unit is supposed to be from a glance.
These battles feel like something out of a movie now. Can't wait to see some more of the larger sieges as well. Now just to see what the campaign map looks like.
Looks absolutely amazing, cannot wait to get my hands on it. The unit camera feature is pretty cool as well, I'm hoping for Steam Workshop support as well.
"They're trying to kill me!" Welp time to buy it and get into it.
Goodness, it's amazing. Can't wait for this one, looks far better than the previous Rome.
"They're trying to kill me!" Welp time to buy it and get into it.
"How can we fight against such hate?" "Hate back, son!"
