i love doing shit like this in beamng nothing quite more fun than giving a semi 1000 horse power and wicked low gearing and just shredding up sand dunes
i love doing shit like this
I've never tried it in BeamNG, Is it easy? This game is a beta version of the 2003 game Flatout by the way.
Flatout <3

It is really extensively moddable, some stuff being a simple config change, others being much much more involved (custom cars and beam set ups). I've had it since the beginning and I think now is a great time to get into it because development is at a solid point and there is a decent mod community already for maps and vehicles. There is a lot more to come though. Also you need a pretty solid rig, both gpu and cpu wise, to enjoy beamng
I'm not sure what you mean by "easy"
-snip- I've had it since release aswell! I play it alot!
He asked if it was easy to modify it in the same way.
Well good thing I answered both..
-snip- I've had it since release aswell! I play it alot!
My bad, I misread your initial post with the question. The wiki has some good documentation and tools for the various degrees of modding you can do.
The wiki has some good documentation and tools for the various degrees of modding you can do.
Now I got motivated to mess about with that aswell! Getting the Semi with cement mixer to 400Km/h is a goal I just set for myself.
Now I got motivated to mess about with that aswell! Getting the Semi with cement mixer to 400Km/h is a goal I just set for myself.
Go into the game files, open up the zip for the vehicle in question (make a backup copy first), find the engine file, modify its values.
modify its values.
Doing it right now, it is actually pretty simple.
The result of me messing with the values in Rigs of Rods (BeamNG's predecessor)
The result of me messing with the values in Rigs of Rods
The way it just bounced up in the air and blew up cracked me up lol, going to go ahead and try this in BeamNG, also I grew up with RoR, there's a few videos of it on my channel from around 2009. Edit: There we go, now the Semi revs up to 11000RPM, has 10.000 torque and the gearbox from the Civetta Bolide, making it capable of blowing up it's rear wheels from a standstill on 5th gear.
flatout 1 and 2 are just genius games, so entertaining.

[editline]10th November 2015[/editline] Oh fuck, I thought it was the same person, don't take it too bad
That video was much funnier than the one in the OP in my opinion.
I'm the OP and I have to agree. Lol no problem dude, I expected a rain of boxes so I'm kinda surprised!
I love it when people cheat and make cars go faster in racing games (from asphalt 8 for those who care)
I love it when people cheat and make cars go faster in racing games
This reminds me of the game Crashday, where there IS no limit on top speed. I used to go into the map editor and make a map 100M wide and 5000M long, then put a ramp at the end. Usually when you are at the ramp you're at over 800Km/h and let's just say you fly so high the ground actually dissapears beyond the draw distance.

I used to make extremely long flat stretches that would end with the tallest ramp available. Good nitro boost management and a good dose of W allowed me to reach the ramp at speeds upwards of 500Km/h
Holy shit, someone else other than me played Crashday?
That game is so underrated, I used to play online all the time!
Crashday was great, I loved gunning down the enemy cars! The weapons had a lot of impact in that game.
Never thought I'd see Crashday ever mentioned. How I miss playing that game.
Never thought I'd see Crashday ever mentioned. How I miss playing that game.
Now i feel like making a Hamachi server for it and play online! Since I think the online is not supported natively anymore.
Now i feel like making a Hamachi server for it and play online! Or at least, that was v1.0, so maybe they ever brought out a patch to make it also run on other OS. I fondly remind it though. Along with Flatout 2/UC, it were the most fun arcade racers on the PC back then.

Also back when it was still pretty populated I had Vista and that also worked. I played Flatout 2 and UC back then aswell! Actually the first game I ever played online was Flatout 2.
