A teenage boy was tortured and drowned on Christmas Day because a relative believed he was a witch, the Old Bailey has heard. Kristy Bamu, 15, was in such pain after days of being attacked with sticks, a metal bar, hammer and chisel that he begged to die, jurors were told. His brother-in-law, Eric Bikubi, was joined by his partner, Kristy's sister Magalie, in the horror, said Brian Altman QC, prosecuting, and his other siblings were forced to join in before they were all placed in the bath to be hosed down in cold water with a shower head by Bikubi on December 25 2010.e "It was only when he realised that Kristy was not moving that he stopped what he was doing and pulled him from the water. By then it was too late," said Mr Altman. Magalie Bamu and Bikubi, both 28, of Hathaway Crescent, Newham, east London, deny murdering Kristy. Bamu also denies two charges of causing actual bodily harm to her sisters. Mr Altman said Bikubi has admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility, but this was rejected by the prosecution who say the couple carried out "the very deliberate murder" of Kristy. Bikubi had also admitted the assaults on the two sisters. The youngsters had arrived from their home in Paris to spend the festive season with the couple. Mr Altman said Kristy had 101 injuries and died from a combination of being beaten and drowning. Paramedics tried to save him but he was already dead. In the living room, police found Kristy's brothers and sisters - brothers Yves, 22, and a 13-year-old, and sisters Kelly, 20, and an 11-year-old. Kelly said their holiday turned sour when Bikubi accused Kristy, herself and their younger sister of "being witches or sorcerers - practising witchcraft". "Despite her own siblings' denials that they were sorcerers, Magalie Bamu joined her boyfriend in repeating these fantastic claims and participating in the assaults," said Mr Altman. "They beat the three of them, refusing to let them eat, drink or sleep for days, while the punishments being meted out became increasingly violent, with them using many implements found in the flat as weapons of torture." The jury was told that in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where the defendants are originally from, witchcraft or sorcery, called kindoki, is practised in Christian churches, but if it is taken out of the church's control "it may take on a feral and indeed evil character, as we suggest it did here", Mr Altman said.
Why the fuck do people still believe in fucking witches and why would you then proceed to think fifteen years after he was born that he was a witch. Fucking idiots, honestly. shit source: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/boy-tortured-over-witch-claim-131313107.html
altman be praised
attacked with sticks, a metal bar, hammer and chisel that he begged to die
That's fucking sick.
At least they know he's not a witch now.
Great scott!
I want to make a Monty Python joke, but it feels a bit inappropriate. I mean what the fuck.
This is fucking insane.
Whats with the stupid as fuck African tribal belief system, like raping babies to cure aids or setting people on fire because they are witches, one of the many reasons Africa is in such a shit hole because of its tribal taboo beliefs. At least there are people there trying to fix it through education. How does one beat the witch out of someone anyway?
Muggles. They just don't understand. But really, I've been reading about this stuff coming from some layed off villages in Africa or some place else, but damn, this comes from a place where you wouldn't expect something like this. Poor kid.
What a fucking moron
I want to know how many times the witch accusers were dropped on the head as babies.
I want to know how many times the witch accusers were dropped on the head as babies.
Not enough.
Ugh, this is why people are so against religion, because people do things like this. Just makes you hate them.
that's understandable imagine if the boy really was a witch, you can't take that risk!
Man those immigrants integrated into British society real good [editline]5th January 2012[/editline] Also watch them get like 10 years in jail cause British judicial system is so great
Ugh, this is why people are so against religion, because people do things like this. Just makes you hate them.
Being a sociopathic retard and being a follower of religion are different things afaik Seriously though, I can't comprehend how stupid someone would have to be to do something as insane as this...
Disgusting.
This is really fucked up
Only due to how stupid and cruel the relative was, I suggest the same be done to them.
Things like this rarely happen in the UK, but when they do they take it to the extreme.
That's how you can always spot a witch. They never admit it.
I can't even fucking contemplate how someone would think beating their child with a chisel and a metal bar is a good idea in any situation. "101 injuries" sounds like a punishment you'd find in the Bible or something. She needs to put away her voodoo booga-booga medicine and realize that it isn't okay to act like your country is at civil war when you're in a Western society.
The way they describe the relation between all of them is a little hard to follow. In fact, the whole article is worded in a really convoluted way.

Just understood 15% of the ontent due to my lack of experience in english -.-'
Why didn't they just test to see if he would float? Damn.
Only due to how stupid and cruel the relative was, I suggest the same be done to them.
Life in prison for as many of the perpetrators as possible, since all of them won't get that long, 30+ years will have to do for them.
What the fuck.
These people are heroes! Brave enough to beat a child they have thought was a witch to a near death with wooden and metallic objects.Well done!
I bet Rick Perry would approve of this.
