This shit is getting really, really old.
I hope the relatively low body count is a sign we're nearing the end of this school shooting craze.
It's this attitude that encourages the next psycho to set a new high score to prove this optimism wrong. Ignore the body count, ignore the killer, sympathize for the victims and their families and move on. Potential shooters wouldn't be nearly so inclined if they knew they wouldn't get any kind of special attention from the world for it.

You're just seeing more of it on the news in the wake of sandy hook. Plus it's Atlanta, not exactly known for being a safe city.

However, you're right that the media, in the wake of Sandy Hook, has decided to publicize every shooting since, which could also be why the number of shootings just keeps rising. They want the publicity.

No offence but coming from a Briton, I wouldn't exactly say 3 or more deaths at a time in a school isn't a problem
From what I heard on WSB radio, the 14 year old is alert and talking. It was a small caliber handgun, and the suspect is a student. Somehow the suspect was able to get the gun through a metal detector.
Atlanta police spokesman Carlos Campos confirmed to CBS Atlanta News that a 14-year-old student had been shot in the head around 1:50 p.m. outside the school, which is located in the 1600 block of Benjamin Weldon Bickers Drive, and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in downtown Atlanta. Campos said that the student was conscious, alert and breathing when they were taken to the hospital.
Probably a .22 and/or just a glancing shot to the head, not a full on direct shot.

School shootings on the other hand didn't used to be very common. Usually a couple in an entire year. You're here to tell me that what we have now is nothing to worry about?

holy shit media needs to fuck off.

How many fucking school shootings happened within a matter of a couple of months? Starting to feel no longer as safe in school as I did before like, hundreds of these started happening.

I'd be so grateful if someone could show be these hidden school shooting reports the media has apparently been ignoring before sandy hook. Because otherwise I get the feeling school shootings haven't always been a weekly occurrence [editline]4th February 2013[/editline]
Probably a .22 and/or just a glancing shot to the head, not a full on direct shot.
I'm on mobile so please just pretend I posted a quote of sigma lambda saying g he hates how threads about shootings immediately turn into dick waving "look how much I know about guns" contests
