More Windows XP Colors

This is a Windows XP Skin project, which adds a theme with more colors, while preserving the original XP 'Luna' look.

My Apache server is going through a shitstorm.
Since this morning, I have added 2 new colors and fixed the red from looking like pink (thanks for the input). I will post something when it's more or less ready.

Is the red theme too pink? That's what I've been battling the stupid red theme about. I shouldn't have done that full colorization and taken it slower like I did with the black.

I've already changed the colors in my XP to match my tastes better, aka blood red bars with black. Same with Vista. Haven't bothered to change anything on my windows 7, since the original theme looks fine.

StyleXP by TGTSoft. It's very adware-ish to my taste and it insists on running at all times. Patching the uxtheme.dll directly is less expensive on the CPU.

Sadly this isn't linux, and the dependencies are already compiled. Using other shells on Windows NT is like reattaching a dead finger onto your hand.

Oh yeah i heard about that. but i think you need to mod the uxtheme to install it no matter what. the uxtheme.dll says that theres only 2 themes and the luna theme only has 3 colors. unless you change the dev bit to 1. that enables it to actually show you all of your custom shit.

The red is now less pink (yey!) and there are two color schemes ready for test. Black not so much. There is also an OIFY color scheme which will rape your eyes. Disregard it.

Use the DEVBUILD1.ZIP file for the theme and the UXPatcher.ZIP to unlock custom themes on your XP. If you remember already doing this, it is optional. Maybe it will still help, since it is an updated version of the patcher.

Everyone is switching to Vista/7 these days. Since they have the Aero theme, one can change the color to whatever they want. Lucky bastards.

On Windows XP, however, if you use the nice looking theme called Luna (not the classic Windows one), you are stuck with 3 colors with the exception of Media Center edition, which gives you another (boring) blue theme. I have started a project that will let users have the same old XP look but with different colors.

While there's still a chance, request some colors you would like to see. My goal is to finish a few basic (yet never released) colors that Windows XP lacks. Black and Red are big concerns for most people and I have already more or less completed them.

In order to install custom themes, one has to patch the UXTheme dll. I will include the SP1,2,3 patcher along with the final release.

What do you mean? W7Aero lets you make a color from RGB... there IS no windows 7 color. Unless you are talking about the Basic theme for low-ends. However, it is silver and the default XP silver theme does it nicely :P
