• Having a Mid-Life Crisis.

Alright, I've had this on my chest for a long while now, and I need to get it off. Yes, it's one of "those threads". The kind where someone you don't even know is telling you his problems. Well, just let me have it out, it'll make me feel better. Alright. Recently I've been feeling pretty down, and by recently I mean since around the beginning of November. I wouldn't say it's clinical depression, but I don't know. Anyways, what I've been down about is the shortness of life. This is the way I'm thinking: Think back to a time where you thought something was taking forever, eg. getting out of school. Now it's long gone, it's passed seemingly instantaneously. Now, recently I've applied this thinking to the whole of life, and this means that life is instantaneous and we all might as already be dead. Coming to terms with my own mortality. I've been doing some research on this, and I've come to the conclusion that I'm having a mid-life crisis. I'm 14. I shouldn't be having a mid-life crisis at 14. I have had thoughts of suicide, but I immediately brush it off as crazy. Still, the fact that I have even thought of it scares me. There, I've said it. You can post whatever you want now, knowing that someone knows this problem of mine makes me feel better. Suggestions are appreciated, though. [editline]fuck[/editline] Boo fucking hoo, I misspelled some stuff. :saddowns:
Puberty
since around the beginning of November
Standard winter depression [editline]02:10AM[/editline]
Puberty
Also this.
Pretty much the above, I went through loads of shit when I was your age, pretty cringeworthy when I think back to it...
Actually that's called having a quarter-life crisis if you're young. Anyways, I feel for ya, I felt the same way for awhile.
Standard winter depression
I fooking love winter, it's the only time it's not blistering hot where I live.

You are an idiot.

I felt the same why when I was around 18-19 going into college. Don't worry so much about death because it's something that no one avoids. Instead, think about how awesome it is to currently be who you are, and a free willed individual. What were the chances that you ended up as a human rather than some other lifeform? Enjoy your life to it's fullest, and try to experience everything it has to offer. Medication is not the answer if doctors suggest it. You must discover yourself through your own contemplation and philosophy. It won't be easy, I remember some nights I couldn't sleep because I was so terrified. But in the end, you will come out much stronger, and have a better appreciation for life. [editline]07:14PM[/editline] And yes, everything does get better. In fact, my life has been much better since I thought about this stuff.
The point of life is to do what you want, live how you want, learn, live, love, die. Now if you want to die, and miss out on ANYTHING you could do. Hell, you could be a heroin addict and suck dick for coke money. Does that make your life worth less than anyone else? No. Also, don't be a fucking prick and kill yourself. Just makes people hate you. Unless you're a narcissistic asshole then go ahead. Ignore what everyone else wants and kill yourself. You're still an asshole alive or dead. Point being, don't dwell on how short life is. That's why you SHOULDN'T kill yourself, and live your life. Don't waste it because you're A. lazy B. Stupid or C. All of the above.
You should talk to a psychologist, and your parents about this, they'll be able to help. Tell them how you're feeling.
"I'm gonna die eventually I'm depressed fuck my life." Get over it.
"I'm gonna die eventually I'm depressed fuck my life." Get over it.
Oh shut up, I don't think you quite understand the depth of what he's feeling. There is a point in our lives where we all question our existence and wonder what the hell living really is.
If you're not happy, make a change. Up until recently, I had condemned myself to countless hours in the IT cube system, slaving away for no real reason. I made a change and things have never been better. Life is short and flesh is fallible, there's no arguing that. Do what you want while you have the time to do it -- you'll never get today back.
Well when you are 28 you know you're going to die at least.
been having this for half a year.

Both will fix this for one day, suppress them issues.
"I'm gonna die eventually I'm depressed fuck my life." Get over it.
I was expecting a post like this. I'm sorry we aren't all macho men who can block out our feelings.
You should talk to a psychologist, and your parents about this, they'll be able to help. Tell them how you're feeling.
Shoot, I told my Mom already. All she said was "You shouldn't be thinking that way."
Puberty
This.
Everybody gets a bit down at the start of winter but just get out there and run around in the snow for a bit you'll be just fine.
Oh shut up, I don't think you quite understand the depth of what he's feeling. There is a point in our lives where we all question our existence and wonder what the hell living really is.
No, I don't understand it because I don't question my existence as you put it. Why would you? Maybe you need to get out more, or find a hobby rather than going emo.

Go outside and dick around and enjoy life :)
Everybody gets a bit down at the start of winter but just get out there and run around in the snow for a bit you'll be just fine.
I'm in south Texas. We've gotten snow only once in my lifetime. :saddowns:
