Hushyar Ali has devoted his life to defusing thousands of explosives in his home region of Halabja in Iraq.
He says he will never give up his mission to save lives, despite losing both of his legs in explosions.
The BBC's Jiyar Gol reports.

No, I mean, isn't there machinery HE can use to DETECT mines?
I believe the device you speak of is referred to as a mine detector in yonder English-speaking nations.
What a crock, whenever I go to work and look for mines, my boss just yells at me.

Come to Australia, your boss will goddamn pay you to look for mines. Hell we have loads of gold mines out here just waiting for some Chinese company to take our hands off 'em.
The United States said they would only use mines in Korean DMZ except for those new smart mines, are these insurgent mines?
Awesome guy.

I feel bad for laughing at that.
So what types of mines are these?
Are they nonmetallic? Because those are the hardest to detect.
I'm surprised more people don't defuse mines. The job is a blast.
