Abusing a position of authority should absolutely result in disciplinary action and the text messages sent while the student was underage alone are worthy of jailtime but if both parties are adults when the sex actually occurs you cannot possibly expect the punishment to be the same as child molestation, and all the people crying about hypothetical sex reversals and pussy pass are the reason that right-wing rags like Daily Mail and Fox are so successful. It's still quite a stretch to say that she is walking free from court though, to say nothing of mentioning sex with the only age of the girl given at 15, which would have been under age. She wasn't.
The title is misleading and proof of that can be found on the first half of this page until someone actually remembered never to take anything Daily Mail says at face value.

you can't go to prison as a suspect. do you have a news article about this or something? because obviously it was taken to court and evidence was presented to a jury and they found him guilty based off of that (not saying that the jury system is flawless i think it's pretty shit personally but i also think your anecdote is pretty shit/a lie)
