http://globalnews.ca/news/2164184/child-left-in-hot-car-dies-as-internal-temperature-hits-93-degrees/
Police are investigating the death of a 17-month-old toddler in Pecos, Texas after the child’s mother says she accidentally forgot the child inside a hot car. 21-year-old Annabelle Millan told police she forgot her son, 17-month-old Avrian Villalobos, inside her vehicle at the end of a busy commute Tuesday afternoon. “She did give an admission to investigators [Tuesday] that she did leave a child in the vehicle for approximately an hour,” Pecos Police Department Chief Clay D. McKinney told News West 9 in Midland, Texas.
(User was banned for this post ("Quit fucking with titles - You're not funny" - Craptasket))
"WOOPS"
Well now, she may have forgot the child but she won't forget this.
title made me think the car was on fire and the kid was still inside classic wickedplayer
With the inside of a car and a really, really stupidly hot day, the car may as well be on fire because it's a miniature greenhouse effect.
Unless the baby literally combusted then it didn't "burn to death". Dying of heat does not equal dying from fire.
when someone gets heat stroke you dont say they're on fire
In that environment, you can easily get skin burns (it will also burn your lungs).
In that environment, you can easily get skin burns (it will also burn your lungs).
Sure, but you wouldn't say somebody who fell down a flight of stairs and broke some (let's say, 3) bones was PULVERIZED to death, even though breaking bones is a part of pulverization.

Why is "accidentally" in quotes in the title? This happens all the time.
Why is "accidentally" in quotes in the title? This happens all the time.
Only to retards it does.
News gets more informative the more outraged you are by it
That's Texas for you
That's Texas for you
Yes, because this has only ever happened in Texas
If it were a newborn I may be understanding in forgetting your child. But 17 months old?? It should be like ingrained in your brain
Only to retards it does.
Still technically an accident. You don't have to agree that this being an accident makes the whole thing excusable, you know.
What kind of shitty parent forgets about they're fucking baby.
What the fuck are you on about..?
is the concept of an analogy alien to you?
People forget their dogs but they don't forget their children. This is quite ridiculous. Reminds me of this one time when my mom forgot to pick me up from school and she thought I was on the car with her until she went home.
what is going on with these replies
What the fuck are you on about..?
They were on about the usage of the word BURN.
Accidentally. Sure.

Our lives are filled with routine and we do the same things over and over. So what does this have to do with forgetting a kid? Well, if your routine is to drop the kid off at daycare on your way to work, but one day you need to make a stop somewhere else on your way to work, your autopilot allows you to go to work without stopping at the daycare. Why? Remember that your routine is to make ONE stop(daycare) before going to work. Your autopilot is only watching for that one stop, it doesn't take into account which stop you're making. So as long as you make your routine one stop then your autopilot doesn't trigger an alarm. I have no idea if that's what happened in this case, but I do know that there have been times when I've forgotten something and it usually happens when I have a bunch of new things to deal with besides the normal things I deal with. When my routine changes is when I'm most likely to forget something.

OP has lead me to believe the child spontaneously combusted inside the car with his lack of medical knowledge.
OP has lead me to believe the child spontaneously combusted inside the car with his lack of medical knowledge.
what is exaggeration
The subject seems more about the title, and I will contribute in saying I expected some Scanners-like combustion from the title as well. However, this is unfortunate and the parent is an idiot; as can be said with most articles about parental negligence.
I just don't understand how one could "forget" their kid in the car.

And the handling of a child would certainly constitute a large portion of my daily activities regardless if that took place in a car, day care or the grand canyon.

And the handling of a child would certainly constitute a large portion of my daily activities regardless if that took place in a car, day care or the grand canyon.
I'm not saying we're sleepwalking through the entire day. I'm just saying there are times when people zone out and just do things without needing to think about them. There have been times when I'm driving and I'm at one point on my trip and the next thing I know I'm at my destination even though I don't actually remember the entire drive. That's because I've been driving long enough that my brain and body already know what to do through most of a drive, ie stop at red lights and such. Driving your usual path to work or school becomes a routine in a very short amount of time. This link is about this issue. Certainly lots of these adults are killing the kids, intentionally or through negligence. Some however may be guilty of no more than going on autopilot at the worst possible time.
Saying you "accidentally" leave your child in a car sounds even worse since it makes it look like you don't care about them enough.
