• Decorate my living room

Hey, I bought an appartment about six months ago and I still have not put the finishing touches on my appartment. This is my first house and I really want everything to look nice. I just find it very difficult to decorate everything. I made a small video of my living room which really needs some improving. I am pretty young, 22, and i want my living room to reflect that i am a young urban professional =] Video of my living room . (im talking dutch) I am currently planning on buying lamps this weekend. I am considering carpet(s) and wall decorations. I think i want an large abstract painting/deco near the sofa or in the diner table corner (next to the fridge). I did find something interesting called Wallstickers] which do look fun, but also a bit cheap. I hope you guys can give me some suggestions!
Not to deter anyone who's willing to help, but I'm afraid your request will probably go without any real help. The most I've seen out of this kind of request is a bunch of silly photoshop edits with the walls exploding or things on the furniture. Hopefully someone here is more into home decor, though.
I'd go through a few catalogs. Find a design you like and think would work and then try to replicate it.
Instead of taking a video, it would be a great if you took enough shots to make a 360 degree panorama so that way it's easier to edit. I think this could be fun.
Yes this would be, but it should be in the photoshop threads.
Use nice soft satin colors on the walls, add a shit ton of plants in your room. Green, live, plants make everything amazing. Also, a lot of sun light. Replace that couch. I'm a big fan of aquariums, try getting an open top fish aquarium. And put that somewhere like right behind your couch. i will try to get enough pictures for a 360 degree view, I am not going to replace the couch. I love an L shaped couch because i can lay down on it. I had bough a fish last Friday, it was dead on Sunday. But i agree some organic matter would be nice. I already cleaned up a bit more and will possible upload a new vid + pics tommorow
