Video was fantastic. The actual update.. well, let's just say I'm glad the video was great otherwise I'd be hella disappointed.
Holy fuck on a duck that was awesome.

When is the update?
When is the update?
Who knows. The blog post says we're getting hats, 1 weapon (which is an all-class melee weapon so it's probably a reskin) and 1 taunt. I thought we were getting multiple weapons but I guess word of mouth got the best of me.
They also released the soundtrack onto iTunes and Google Play.

Too bad it's not on the Windows Music Store though.

I got a good laugh out of that. The movie sure had some great comedic timing.
TF2 is updating now.
That part at the end with the train was fucking amazingly done, holy shit
I have to say, it would've been way better with official TF2 voiceacting. Voiceacting in TF2 shorts are part of what makes them so good.
Same guy who composed all of Lit Fuse Film's stuff.
This was pretty decent. Definitely an excellent example of what SFM can do.
I felt like it wasn't sure what it wanted to be, though. There was this whole subplot with the Scout and Sniper where I didn't understand the purpose, there was this subplot with Heavy and Medic over a chess game or something, [sp]A Spy comes in at the end and does nothing,[/sp] and it seemed to switch between silly and serious about a thousand times.
Entertaining nonetheless. It doesn't have the best writing but we weren't expecting that. Still one of the better SFMs out there.

Right now!
My friend was laughing his ass off at these medic faces:

That was fucking amazing. The train scene left me in awe.
There is one thing I'd sort of complain about: the way the Heavy is depicted unable to play chess is a bit fanon, the man has a degree in Russian literature, he's not a simpleton by any means, he just enjoys his work and doesn't have a good grasp of English.

I'm fairly sure the heavy was beating the medic at chess, hence medic raging

He made a doubly impossible move on the first turn.

I'm fairly sure you know literally nothing about chess if you think the king jumping four spaces, over a piece, to take a pawn, is either a legal move or winning at chess.
Just saying.

Your complaint makes literally no sense though, lol? Sniper and Scout were trying to stop the train, and there was no 'subplot', that's just what they were doing before the train arrived? I mean this is pretty basic stuff. It's TF2, the tone makes total sense and mirrors stuff like the mann vs machine intro video.

-dumb-
Was really hoping they'd have the TF2 remix of Seven Nations Army like in the original trailer

I so wanted to hear a full version of that.
Besides all that it was awesome! my only real complain (once again music) the music felt a bit lack luster near the end when [sp]the heavy stood infront of the train and the medic ubered him[/sp] the music kind of dipped down and was far less bombastic than what i think it should have been.
other then that it was fucking awesome, going to get one of those posters too.

No, I mean that almost all of the scenes where Scout and Sniper were involved could've been taken out and almost nothing would've changed. The only thing they really added to the narrative was letting the main base know that the train was coming, they had no other consequence on the plot and they took up half the movie. I felt like the whole thing was just a super obvious excuse to have a cool train crash.
I mean it was a lot of fun, but it's still just filler.
