The Deputy Prime Minister said he does not want Britain to “get embroiled in a military conflict”. Speaking to the BBC’s Andrew Marr programme Mr Clegg said: “We’ve taken no decision to provide lethal assistance so we clearly don’t think it is the right thing to do now otherwise we would have decided to do it. “What we are doing is providing significant amounts of non-lethal assistance…that is the strategy we are pursuing at the moment.”
That's all very well and interesting, but what's more important is: what does his master think?
Odd considering they were the ones pushing so hard to get it done. No doubt there's still support going on behind the scenes.
I wouldn't trust Clegg to change my lightbulbs, never mind dissenting from Cameron. [editline]edit[/editline] oh you bastard
Well Clegg did kill off the plan to monitor all web activity, and the constituency boundary changes
Is he saying this because he's against interventionism or is he saying this because he doesn't believe intervening is in the UK's interests?
impose a no-fly zone.
Why hasn't this been done yet? Why is arming the rebels the first thing to do?
i just wish we could leave shit alone once in a while we don't have to get involved in every conflict

I think we need to bring an amiable end to the conflict and if it takes arming the rebels more carefully with what we've learned from the past in mind so be it.
