Rap/"heavy metal"/clasicool/other(dnb, ambient..)
Really depends on my mood and what my "new favorite music" is. I change what I listen to a lot. For the last couple months it was ALL Atmosphere/Brother Ali/POS/other Rhymesayers rappers.. Now it's Gojira/all of Devin Townsend's projects/other heavy tech stuff
What would you consider to be "soft metal" exactly?
where is the techno and pop? shit man MGMT is so good while high

Dammit, voted light metal because I thought it meant Black Sabbath-y, post-metal, stoner metal, etc.
I listen to mostly the above (Shrinebuilder, Giant Squid, Sleep, The Sword), electronica/house like MGMT, Justice, other electro acts as well as progish/post metal like Tool and Isis. Psychedelic/Experimental bands are great too. (think Flaming Lips)

Taking Back Sunday is an Emo band... and would go under the Emo category. I've never really listened to Rise Against, and Against Me! is like... punk? I think you're maybe going for... Alternative?

Wuuuuuuut. There's nothing light about Black Sabbath. They weren't the first Heavy Metal band for nothing! Sleep is heavy as fuck too, as are most Sludgy/Doomy/Stoner Metal

I meant as apposed to what most people associate with metal, at least around here, which seems to be shitty deathcore. I just made a bad decision in voting.
