I've always smoked strictly jays but recently wanted to get a little stash going. Got a mini bong because I need portability, it looks cheapish cause of the shittily made plug but it milks like fucking crazy, no lie. The grinder is 2 part and has a screen and pollen collector. Also got a kingsize raw rolling machine and a few packs of kutkorners. Total was like $50. I have terrible head shops in my location, so I was wondering if I got ripped off or not? Good pieces for a first time portable collection?
For $50; i'd say you did a good job! nice job on the grinder, i had one similar to it - black instead of green, but it was also a poker stack - That bong setup is simple yet appealing to look at, too.
That's a nicely sized bowl for a bong that small

Looks good to me, and that's coming from someone who lives around fairly reasonably priced headshops.
Great deal to me, a pipe alone would prob cost me $50 at the headshops I go to. But then they have really extravagant and well made pieces.
I'd say you made out. A bong, pipe, grinder with kief catch, and a rolling machine for $50? The pipe and bong alone would probably cost me $50.

Any one of those items could be sold at around 20 to thirty dollars.
Do you happen to live in Arizona because all the headshops have those same prices
left, good. Right, also good, pretty basic though but who cares it will get the job done well. ( i don't care for how they look really )

Pretty good for your first setup. Definitely worth the 50 dollars. For your next purchase I would recommend getting a bong with a glass on glass joint. Its really nice because the joints are standardized and you can mix and match different downstems and slides for different filtration and style. A name brand grinder would be a nice addition as well. they tend to collect kief a lot better and the blades in the grinder are sharper, it grinds a lot better instead of crushing everything.

I agree with this. A nice grinder with more blades, and are sharper tends to be a better grinder, IMO. You can find a good 20 dollar one on Amazon. Do you need stealthiness at all, OP?
