A mother in Dayton, Ohio was shocked this week when she purchased a toy wand for her child at a dollar store only to find it ran not on unicorn hair but a picture of a child slicing her arm open. In fairness to the dollar store (literally called '$.100 store') the product was named 'EVIL STICK', though the pink lettering, fairies, swirls and snowflakes on the packaging ensured it would catch the eye of toddlers. The fact that the wand emits a cackling laugh when activated is probably permissible, the horrific hidden image less so. "It's a picture of a girl slitting her wrists. I'm outraged over it," mother Nicole Allen, who bought the toy for her two-year-old daughter, told WHIO. "I want to know how they think that that is suitable for a child. There was barbie dolls on one side and baby toys on the other side, and these were right in the middle." The store's owner, Amar Moustafa, said it was up to parents to properly read the toy's label. "The name on it, it says "Evil Stick",' he noted. "So from the name, if I was buying it for my kid, I would inspect it before I gave it to them." He added that he felt it would be suitable "for a five, six, seven, 10-year-old, I mean they see that on TV everyday." The wand remains on sale at the store. It's like something you'd read out a dumb creepypasta.
Well, it´s an evil stick so i guess it serves its purpose.
Haha what the fuck, who the hell thinks this is a good idea?
Still, probably nothing new to Dr Ashens.
Oh geez that's creepy
lesson learned: never buy anime to your kid
that mom is smelling those lawsuit dollars. I hope the store owner doesn't get in any trouble since his statements make more sense than the mom who doesn't inspect toys before buying.
So the only way to find that picture is to peelback the mirror image. The guy said he would inspect the toy, since it's actually called Evil Stick for some reason. But he wouldn't find that image unless he ripped it apart and then he'd probably have to buy it anyway. Is there some sort of service where people rip toys apart to make sure they don't contain hidden messages and shit?
That picture creeps me the fuck out. How the fuck did that get there?
I demand an Ashens Review
Oh wow, she didn't even complain directly to him but went directly to the news station? Seriously, some people :downs: [editline]10th November 2014[/editline]
So the only way to find that picture is to peelback the mirror image. What I want to know is, what sick fuck thought this would be funny? Where did the picture come from? How did it get on the shelves? There are so many questions.
I'm sorry, but I think this whole thing is hilarious. What a troll toy company!
Did she seriously think the name Evil Stick wasn't suspicious at all?
Did she seriously not think the name Evil Stick wasn't suspicious at all?
The packaging isn't. It was definitely produced in a foreign country and most of the time $1 products like this are in pidgin english anyway.
I love that woman they interviewed at the end of the report. "Girls may find it normal or funny or interesting" Like what the fuck of all the things that are fucking weird about this toy the one thing you complain about is that kids may actually enjoy it for what it's worth ?
It would be okay if it was like a spooky skull face, or a generic ghost child with dark rings around her eyes that showed up through mirror, i had a haunted mirror toy bought for me as a Halloween prank when i was a kid- it was spooky but i loved it, a picture of a mutant woman cutting herself though? wtf
This is local to me, tempted to buy it and check it out myself :v:

She's a fucking awful person for buying toys at a dollar store. Buy your kid decent toys.
This is local to me, tempted to buy it and check it out myself :v:
Same. In fact I think I've passed that store once and laughed at how generic and shady it looks. TIME TO FIND IT AGAIN
i swear i have seen this 'evilstick' before, surely this couldn't be the first time this shit has happened. :v:
found another vid of one- seems the image inside is random, interesting. Could literally be clippings from random books or some stock art magazine, or individually printed google search results. I want to know what the hidden image on the packaging is though
Holy shit, that laughter noise... Isn't that from the fucking Tomb of Doom game?
I expected the toy to originate from some dollar store based off the title. To say the least, I'm not surprised at all.
She's a fucking awful person for buying toys at a dollar store. Buy your kid decent toys.
ugh fucking poor people
How the hell did this even reach the shelves in the first place? Isn't there some kind of pre-sale inspection of a product before it is approved to be on the market?
I want one.
