Wow, that looks gorgeous. The lighting is so perfect, it's really great.
There's honestly no reason you couldn't do something like this with a massive caching system... Maybe SSDs acting as VRAM?

20 years? lol. You realize that it's 2014 right.
Its a shame that, even if graphics like this came about sooner rather than later, the only games that would actually utilize it is fast-paced shootemups that give you no time to actually look at the graphics.
20 years? I wouldn't be surprised if we started seeing visuals like this before we reach the midpoint of the PS4/XB1 lifespan. Hell, quality of the game aside, 'Ryse: Son of Rome' isn't tremendously far off from this. Still, looking forward to seeing how this kind of technology can be implemented, especially if they start putting it in RPGs. Immersion, ho!
Guys, the title was an exaggeration playing off tech demos that feature amazing graphics that we have "now" but never actually get used in games years later. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
