Bolaffi, an Italian collections company, says in a statement that it bought the computer. The seller was a retired school psychologist from Sacramento, Calif.

Another Apple 1 was sold in May for a record $671,400 by a German auction house. It broke a record of $640,000 set in November.
**SOURCE** I had people on another forum act as if the stock exchange just crashed. The whole idea that there might be an inflation of actual value in older Apple products is something they cannot comprehend. To me I find this amusing that people think they can buy computers and try to think of them as maturing investments. I know penny stocks that are less volatile.
DEF VAL_$product DEF VAL_$value IF INT_$product = STEVE_JOBS THEN INT_$value = RETARDED ELSE INT_$value = 0
The price is still absolutely insane.
Apple devices are the new bitcoin [editline]11th July 2013[/editline] You can probably trade them discreetly for drugs too
I might be thinking about this wrong since I'm tired but isn't going from like $640K to $387K only a drop of ~50%?
Antique computers are just shitty computers.
Antique computers are just shitty computers.
apple I's are rare as fuck though, and it's part of apples history
I might be thinking about this wrong since I'm tired but isn't going from like $640K to $387K only a drop of ~50%?
50% of 600 is 300, but 200% of 300 is 600. I believe 50% is more accurate, but hey this is sensationalist headlines
-100%? I would be baffled too
i wouldn't really be baffled, since as soon as they sold one the market was diluted a bit, and also people who might have hoarded one would sell one and sell pressure pushes the price down
I thought the "1" was an I so I thought this was some crazy new Apple product that is so minimalist that its name is literally one character.
I might be thinking about this wrong since I'm tired but isn't going from like $640K to $387K only a drop of ~50%?
how the fuck do you drop 200% anyway? are you paying people to take your computers?
how the fuck do you drop 200% anyway? are you paying people to take your computers?
Decimal conversion. 1% = 0.01 100% = 1.00 200% = 2 If it was 50% it would be 0.5 and 671000 [del]:[/del] 0.5 is not half. 50% would be a fractional term where 1/2 = 50%. It's more a sensationalist way of saying "Apple I prices fall by half."
Antique computers are just shitty computers.
and archaeologists are just digging around in dirt hoping to strike gold right? this is a pretty stupid opinion considering the fact that, uh, i dunno, you would not be posting on your iphone were it not for these "shitty computers"?????
Off topic but.. someone please give me an idea of the model of the TV monitor in the photo, for a 3D model.
so this sold for -$671,400 that's intense...
Apple users overpaying for old hardware? What else is new?
