Finley — who told police that he and Highley were not a couple — said the older woman became “angry and violent” when he rejected her.
In a fit of rage, she allegedly grabbed a large hunting knife with her right hand and a broken wooden walking stick with the other.
She then allegedly chased Finley — whose thumb was sliced in the incident — into the carpark of a nearby convenience store where he found a police officer.
“The defendant had a silver in colour large knife in her right hand and broken wooden walking cane in her left hand,” the police officer said in his arrest report.
The police officer managed to talk Highley into dropping her weapons and lying down on the ground before she was taken into custody.
She was released on $3,500 bail on a felony charge of aggravated assault.[/QUOTE]

It [i]is[/i] still true though, and worth noting, that if the situation were reversed a lot less people would find it funny. Being chased around with a knife is definitely not a funny situation for the victim, regardless of why it's happening. Not saying it wasn't a bit of a shitpost, but they do sort of have a point
