Straight out of left field but okay, sure I'm down with more park building games.
Operation genesis is my favorite theme park game because its the only one that lets you directly interact with the park. If a Dinosaur Breaks free, you have to fly the helicopter yourself to the area and snipe the dino with tranq to put it down while everyone runs to the emergency shelters you put up. You can do your own safaris in a vehicle and take photos of dinos, etc. Direct Hands On interaction with the park made that game awesome. holy shit never in a million years did i think we'd get another (official) game like Operation Genesis [sp]there's also Prehistoric Kingdom coming soonish for free (pre-alpha demo is out) but it's not actually Jurassic Park and it's running on the tiniest budget so that's limiting them a bit[/sp]
Oh man, VERY hyped for this. I played a ton of Operation Genesis and I've been waiting for a game like this for ages.
Holy shit I'm gonna faint
I don't know, guys. Remember the Zoo Tycoon reboot people got hyped for when it was announced?
Developed by Frontier, who made planet coaster.
Wait, never mind. Officially hyped. I just hope it comes to PC sooner rather than later.
Oh my. With how good planet coaster was I'm entirely trusting that this will be excellent.
Is this xbox one exclusive though? I'm not too into that, unless they do cross platform between pc and xbox one.
Oh my. With how good planet coaster was I'm entirely trusting that this will be excellent.
Indeed. The trailer may be pre-rendered, but with the pedigree of Frontier Developments, chances are this game should turn out pretty good. And it'll probably have some degree of Early Access.
This is the world making up for the shitshow that was ZTX.
This is the world making up for the shitshow that was ZTX.
With Planet Coaster replacing Rollercoaster Tycoon after the latest installment was a mess and Cities: Skylines replacing Sim City after that franchise went to shit, I've been waiting for a Zoo Tycoon replacement after the horrible dissapointment of the last game. Hopefully this will fill the void.
Operation genesis was basically zoo tycoon except you can shoot your animals from helicopters so hopefully
and a human live costs only 5000 $
YES YES YES

Operation Genesis was amazing. Not sure what made it so special, but I remember the atmosphere and weather effects of the game being bar-none. They also had all the games code/settings out in the open, so I used to crank up the frequency of storms as well, among other stuff.
OH GODDDDDDD But.. I still want to see some gameplay first.. but holy shit I'm hyped. Loved JP:OG so much.
This is... unexpected, but certainly awesome! Shame it's in the Jurassic World setting, but I'll take what I can get.
This is... unexpected, but certainly awesome! Shame it's in the Jurassic World setting, but I'll take what I can get.
The world setting is fine imo, it'll give us new shit to have fun with not to mention sea dinosaurs, oh hell yeah.
The world setting is fine imo, it'll give us new shit to have fun with not to mention sea dinosaurs, oh hell yeah.
It's fine, but I'm gonna miss the classic JP land cruisers instead of the stupid ball things.
Oh fuck yes, i can't wait to murder people with dinosaurs!
Developed by Frontier, who made planet coaster.
Also this is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good in the sense that you'll certainly be able to make and absolutely awesome looking park, but bad in the sense that Planet Coaster's management aspects were weak as fuck. That said I probably wouldn't pick anyone else to make it.
It's fine, but I'm gonna miss the classic JP land cruisers instead of the stupid ball things.
They might give us both, have the old school cruisers as early the sphere things late game. At least I hope. I love those jeeps too.
Operation Genesis is in my top 10 games ever, can't wait.
if this is basically planet coaster: jurassic park edtion then i'm super hyped for it
I still have my boxed copy sitting next to Halo:CE and Rollcage on my shelf. MY BODY IS READY.
They might give us both, have the old school cruisers as early the sphere things late game. At least I hope. I love those jeeps too.
And if not I'm sure they'd be open to mod ding the game seeing how planet coaster was.
