An emergency alert interrupted Montana television viewers as they watched the Steve Wilkos Show Monday, and calmly informed them that "dead bodies are rising from their graves."
Source
I'd freak the fuck out for a couple minutes.
I bet the people that believe the alert don't have any brains.
I'd freak the fuck out for a couple minutes.
I'd probably freak out for a few seconds, mainly because emergency warning systems like that freak me the fuck out, but if it mentioned zombies, I'd realise it's a hoax.
I'd probably freak out for a few seconds, mainly because emergency warning systems like that freak me the fuck out, but if it mentioned zombies, I'd realise it's a hoax.
dear god if it mentioned zombies... my dream of living in a zombie apocalypse would finally be true! I've been training so long for this moment.
Something about the tone of the announcer's voice made the alert sound a lot less eerie than normal.
It's amazing how much of an authority this kind of communication holds, yet how easily it can be abused. Society is quite fragile.
What the fuck? I live in Montana, first i've heard of it. I can confirm there hasn't been any mass panic so far.
I could imagine a sort of Orson Welles "War of the Worlds" panic occur from this.
This would freak me out. My stomach tightened watching the vid and I know it's fake. As much as I enjoy playing/watching Zombie themed shit, I would die very quickly in a real Zomble apocalypse.
More like robot apocalypse If you've seen Terminator 3
I wasn't around to see it live :(.

I once calmly picked up an aluminum bat and slowly walked to the window when I thought I heard zombie noises and screaming outside. Turned out it was just the TV's speaker system. Yeah, I'd definitely fall for this.
What a squandered opportunity. They should have declared that those counties were under attack by Canadian forces.
Something about the tone of the announcer's voice made the alert sound a lot less eerie than normal.
Not sure about this one, but the real weather warnings are read out by a synthetic voice named "Tom". It has a bit of a disconcerting feel to it. This fake one sounds like it was read by a real voice, albeit masked.
What a squandered opportunity. They should have declared that those counties were under attack by Canadian forces.
Those tourists from Alberta already attack every day! they come here and just start talkin about boots and tim hortons
Those tourists from Alberta already attack every day! they come here and just start talkin about boots and tim hortons
not as bad as the yearly californian invasion
Steve Wilkos Show
Well at least it blocked Steve Wilkos, that guy is an ass.
It doesn't matter what is test or not, hoax or not, the synthetic voices they use for weather warnings and emergency broadcast systems terrify me, it's just so, inhuman. A cold garbled voice telling me that I'm in danger makes me feel incredibly vulnerable and alone.
Rising from their graves? I think a virus outbreak would have been more believable, if that.
when my undead obsession was at its peak, i always fantasized about the eas tests on tv being exactly this. i can't imagine what i would do if i saw this on tv, probably masturbate.
dear god if it mentioned zombies... my dream of living in a zombie apocalypse would finally be true! I've been training so long for this moment.
You're a fucking space marine, of course you would love this shit!
dear god if it mentioned zombies... my dream of living in a zombie apocalypse would finally be true! I've been training so long for this moment.
i could finally get out my katana and chainsaw and show my senpai how much of a badass i am like the guy in evangelion ^.^
What the fuck? I live in Montana, first i've heard of it. I can confirm there hasn't been any mass panic so far.
I live in Montana. There aren't enough people here for there to be a mass anything. :P
dear god if it mentioned zombies... my dream of living in a zombie apocalypse would finally be true! I've been training so long for this moment.
Where do you live? We should meet up and train together. I will find you.
I live in Montana. There aren't enough people here for there to be a mass anything. :P
Hey man there are a few [del]cities[/del] towns, just look at our biggest [del]city[/del] hamlet, Billings! Has a whole 100,000 people!
The EAS tests are so annoying when played over a TV show, but they're just so weird as well. The voice is something out of the uncanny valley.
Neat, this already has a place on the wikipedia broadcast signal instrusion page.
i could finally get out my katana and chainsaw and show my senpai how much of a badass i am like the guy in evangelion ^.^
but shinji's a bitch he gets to pilot a giant bio-mech and all he does is complain about it
