Hey all, i searched around and didn't see this thread, so i thought it would be a good idea to make one! You can talk about your upcoming results in AS and A2 for UK FPers or any other exam result you are expecting tomorrow! I'm predicted 3 A's, and i'm royally shitting it, i fucked up one exam in Media and i didn't write what i needed to in one of my economics ones, i need AAB to get into my University of Choice, and ABB for the insurance (which i don't really want to go to! I'm not going to sleep tonight!) What are you predicted? How were your exams? What do you think you will get? Anyone else ready to not sleep tonight?
I am american and what is this
I am american and what is this
hence the (UK) in the title.
Way back when, I got accepted before I even got my grades - I was lucky, especially as my grades were shite. Best of luck to everyone. I'm sure you'll all get what you want :)
I fucked up my AS results so I ended up going to college and being a year behind all of my friends :( Good luck tomorrow A2 people I don't know when AS get theirs

I'm staying up tonight and checking UCAS, at 12.01pm it tells you whether your University has accepted you or not, so you know if you got the grades you needed.
My GF is 21, and after watching me complete University, she decided she wanted to go too. She's studied philosophy from home and did the AS and A2 in one year while working full time. If she gets a /b/ or more, we're moving to Oxford, if she gets less, we're moving to Bristol. fun fun fun.
Anyone able to verify that the tests have gotten easier? That's some criticism I read on wikipedia and I wanted some input on that, for I am just a Yank.
I'm gonna be getting back my AS Maths C2 and S1. I think I did as well as I could have done in C2, but not in S1. Fuck that shit was horrible.

More people are passing and so people say they are easier, but to be honest, teaching has improved, and with schemes like Education Maintenance Allowance and extra incentives to go to college, more students are trying and passing. My economics teacher said that some of the syllabus in our lessons was on the syllabus for his first year at University, so i don't think they are any easier.
GCSE Results are also out soon, the 27th, shitting a brick.

Fuck yeah, worst day ever tomorrow :(
what happened to that uclan thread that's my insurance option [editline]04:08PM[/editline] http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=737334

I'm not looking forward to my results at all. I barely did any revision for the exams and come the 27th I think all hell's about to come down on my head.
I sincerely hope I get in to uni. Whether I do or not, I'm getting pissed anyway. According to some UCAS booklet I got in the post you won't be able to see where you got in at midnight as it isn't updated till the morning. But I do wonder if they just say that to save their site from crashing.
GCSE Results are also out soon, the 27th, shitting a brick.
Funnily enough I'm pretty relaxed about this. Worrying isn't going to change my results so I'm just going to go with what I get. Of course I'm hoping for them to be A*s to match my first science GCSE though I honestly doubt I will get that as I barely got an A* in the first science test thanks to completely and royally fucking up on a big question which I honestly should have known. I'm dreading the Maths, Geography and French tests though.
I'm not looking forward to my results at all.
I barely did any revision for the tests either, It would come to the day before and I would be like "Shit!" and then spend the rest of that day revising. Luckily I'm pretty good at winging tests and I'm pretty confident when it comes to sitting them so while I really should have revised I'm hoping the effect isn't too negative.

This just in... I got invited into college "early" tomorrow, because of my predicted grades. Just heard from one of my friends over facebook, that his brother had the same thing 2 years ago, he got invited in early, because he was predicted good results... but he actually got 3 A's. Maybe i am destined for the same thing!!
nah probably to save you the pain of seeing your friends do really well :v:
Hahaha! Thanks! My dad said they wouldn't ring my house and invite me to bring me in and watch me do badly, as they already have all our results now, they put them on customized letters for us, so they know what i've got. Hopefully this is a good thing.
I failed everything last year... I hurt myself because of it.

The new courses really are significantly easier than the old ones, at least in those two subjects.
I am shitting myself for tomorrow :x Totally fucked up the maths mechanics one, Expecting a U... Turning up half an hour late didn't help either.
I'm Scottish and we call ours Highers. A's are the best, D is the worst. A, A, A, B, C
Distracting myself with Dead Space so I don't have to think about it, should give you a rough idea of what my expectations are.
Shitting it a bit for AS results tomorrow, just trying not to think about it. I think I did OK, but you never know.
You guys are pussys, scared of a little bit paper.
Of course I'm hoping for them to be A*s to match my first science GCSE...
You can get an A* in A levels now??? What's the mark for a fail?
i honestly couldn't give any less of a shit about as results tomorrow than i do.
