Overkill has announced a Hotline Miami DLC update for Payday 2, being created in collaboration with the indie murder-'em-up's developer Dennaton Games. There's little to go on, besides a new live-action trailer. How the top-down jazz slaughter of Hotline Miami will work with the co-operative heists of Payday 2 isn't clear. Hopefully the connection will run deeper than some animal masks and an amazing soundtrack.
A Q&A about the release fails to provide much in the way of information. According to Overkill, the project exists because they "fucking love Hotline Miami," which is as good a reason as any. They do confirm that the DLC pack will contain a heist, and that "you'll find out about the rest come end of September."
Payday 2's Hotline Miami DLC is due out on 30 September.
And the pandering continues. But now that I think about it, not the worst combination.
Do you like hurting people?
If i am ever to want this, i want heads to explode when i bash them with a bat and a soundtrack not from simon but from someone like perturbator or mitch murder
Huh, I was thinking about Miami Vice for some reason, it didn't click until I read the comments :v:
Anyway, there's already $50 worth of DLC for Payday 2, it's a fun game and all but having pre-ordered the special edition, I can't help but feel disappointed :/
As hype as I am for this, I can't help but wonder where Hotline Miami 2 is.

Out very soonish, they have been showing more and more stuff as of late.
Is safe-house customization out already?

I'm still really hyped for the level editor it's going to have.
This actually isn't that bad of a crossover.
For some reason Payday 2 is the only game which I don't feel like getting ripped off while purchasing its DLC's.

The DLCs have gotten better as of late but the prices are still fairly steep honestly.

The HoxHud mod (officially endorsed by Overkill,) has an option to make heads explode on headshot kills. I think it works with melee.
Overkill has had a pretty shit track record as of late but I'm legitimately looking forward to this
It would be pretty cool if it those were assassination missions.
I mean, It's not Payday the heist anymore. it's just Payday. Technically it could be anything.
If it's anything like the Left 4 Dead crossover they did in the first one this'll be okay
Isn't Steam giving out the original Payday for a day soon for free due to them reaching some goal? I rather try it before buying the second and tons of DLC, even if I am a huge Hotline Miami fan.
Honestly I don't think they have it in them to make something as great as No Mercy anymore, they've lost the spark they used to have
Forget Payday 2. I cannot fucking wait for Hotline Miami 2!

I'd say so up until we got Big Bank. Big Bank was awesome.

Since when is releasing content that people want for a game pandering? I was under the impression that's how business worked.
I hope the map in the heist has the same colors and vibe Hotline Miami has. That'd be fucking awesome. Neon buildings and stuff of that sort.
BOTH GAMES I LOVE IN ONE I FUCKING LOVE PAYDAY 2! /hype
Now I might just finally break down and get Payday 2, Hotline Miami is honestly one of my favorite games of all time and I'm so fucking hyped for Hotline Miami 2.
Payday 2 was shaky for a long time, but it's really worth playing now I think.
Nobody's posted the trailer yet? Weird.

Damn, I would totally buy Payday 2 just for this, but I held off buying it at the Summer Sale when it was REALLY cheap because I heard it had a lot of issues did it/does it still have any?
Honestly you don't really need to by any more dlc then the Gage Courier Mod pack, and that's only to up the amount of mods you get so it's not even that bad. The only other DLC I'd recommend is probably the big bank one.
Holy fuck, this is going to be awesome.

The first one, yes. This DLC is for the second game.
