A hacked email published by WikiLeaks revealed on Tuesday the "first cut of people" the Hillary Clinton campaign was considering for vice president.
The list of 39 people was sent by campaign chairman John Podesta to Clinton on March 17 — two days after Clinton's successful March 15 Democratic primary romp — and included a mix of accomplished businessmen and politicians.
Clinton's top aides — including Huma Abedin, Robby Mook, and Cheryl Mills — selected the people, according to the email.
Bill Gates?
Tim Cook?
Why.
Can you imagine how god-tier it'd be if Bill Gates was VP

Bill Gates is my dream president
bernie sanders last.
probably because he was considered most though... Elizabeth Warren is also a great name on that list, so are a couple others.
Some are pretty bad though. Michael Bloomberg for example...

Rip malaria
Bill Gates 2024
Bill Gates is my dream president
now are we talking 90's "I'll rip you a new asshole" bill gates or late 2000's "I'm giving all my money away to charity" bill gates? because like he's really really changed over the years
Now I'm just upset that Clinton will be president instead of Bill Clinton. He could self-finance his campaign and literally make America great again lol

Probably to shut down Trump's whole "successful businessman" angle by having a more successful businessman as your VP.

Bill Gates is like what Trump's image is meant to represent: An extremely successful businessman with no vested interest in politicking, just a genuine desire to help the world.

the mayor of NYC is pretty much a governor by default, its not like he wouldn't be qualified, though remember the VP just basically has 2 jobs, to sit around being alive, and to announce the president once a year, with occasionally being allowed to sit in the senate if they promise to be extra quiet

Wouldnt that just open her up to more attacks based on being accused of being in bed with big companies and lobbyists and whatever else?
"See, what'd i tell you folks. Its like i told you, she's corrupt. She's corrupt and she's just being used by these big corproations, folks - BAD."

That being said, Bill Gates can jump over chairs, so he's qualified in my book.
Lets just put Steve Jobs on there too.

He'd be reborn for the 2010s as a type of SuperGates: he'll rip you a new asshole, and then he'll give all of his and your money to charity.
Lots of struggling countries revitalized. Lots of unpaid medical bills at proctologist offices.
Elizabeth Warren would've been top notch
My siblings were really bummed over the fact that she decided against running

I think.. I think I have some bad news for you
I think.. I think I have some bad news for you
idk what alternate reality your from he survived his pancreatic cancer
If only it was Sanders as VP. That would have instantly ended Trump's campaign.
Honestly I wouldn't like to see Gates run for President, if only because I think he can accomplish much more as a non-politician.

From jumpin' chairs to jumpin' the aisle.

Didn't you hear Jobs is currently kicking it with Tupac and Biggie smoking mad weed?
There's a pretty obvious reason why she ended up picking Kaine - he's not a senator. The DNC doesn't want to abandon a single senate seat when there's a fair chance they could narrowly get a majority. That disqualifies some of the best VP candidates - Warren, Sanders, Booker, and so on. No chance they'd pick a senator.
I'm assuming the Gates/Cook/Bloomberg things weren't taken that seriously, especially after Bernie got big in the primaries - nothing says "big business interests" like picking the CEO of a major corporation as your VP.
Couple other good names on here, though. Some definitely better than Kaine, honestly.

No, trump is. Sanders as VP would have captured his supporters fervor in some way
Trump is the antithesis of what Sanders stands for
Woops you made a mistake but don't worry I fixed that for you

No, the VP's tasks depend on the VP and the P. With bush junior for example his VP had a very active and prominent decision making power.
Clinton is the antithesis of what Sanders stands for
Sorry, I think you meant Trump, not Clinton.
Clinton and Sanders have some strong disagreements, no question, but Sanders endorsed Clinton out of his own volition because the threat of Trump being elected is so completely against everything he stands for that he can set those disagreements aside for a common good.

Yup, but it would mean sanders being cut at the bud and clinton having someone breathing in her neck every time she tries something crooked.

In practice and bills they got in, they directly oppose each other. On what they say they lean a bit into the same direction in opposition to trump but its not like they are nearly the same politician.
Clinton is the antithesis of what Sanders stands for
Apart from the vast majority of time where their voting record aligned, that is.
