I hope the random schools are just an extra thing, random stuff is good for a replay but i want the initial playthrough to be in a well designed school where the layout has been thought through much better.
Remember, set the speed to 1.25 or 1.5 cuz this dude talks slow as fuuuuck
Remember, set the speed to 1.25 or 1.5 cuz this dude talks slow as fuuuuck
I never personally had this problem to be honest I think it's just perfect

Huh, I was wondering why he put 31 hours into the new Hitman game recently. (talking about yandev)
Its fine that hes playing similar games to get ideas etc, but did this video really need to be made? the amount of time people complained he wasted making that email video and he goes and makes this video.
Its fine that hes playing similar games to get ideas etc, but did this video really need to be made? the amount of time people complained he wasted making that email video and he goes and makes this video.
for me, a substantial amount of the appeal of Yandere Simulator is watching it grow and getting updates on it. It's cool that the guy is so open about the development of the game and it's just an interesting point of view [editline]9th April 2016[/editline] putting aside 3 hours to do a video isn't that bad considering the couple years of Dev time it'll take to finish the product
This video shows more about actual development progress and ideas he has than "Stop emailing me" video #50.
I still stand by what I said but different opinions are cool ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
He's talking about what kind of game he wants Yandere Sim to be and it's pretty hard to convey that message if he'd only stick to updates about the game.
That makes sense.
Wait wait wait. He can't ever work on Yandere Simulator because he sits on his ass for 8-12 hours a day reading and filtering out stupid emails but yet he has enough time to invest 26 hours into Hitman 2016? Uuuuhhhhhhh...
Wait wait wait. He is no doubt . . . strange. . . but he obviously care deeply about the game and is new to a lot of the things that come with developing.
what ever you guys do don't send him any emails
Wait wait wait. Uuuuhhhhhhh...
The game has been out for a month, that means he played for less than 1 hour a day. Obviously it was more like he spent several hours on various days but the point is 26 hours is hardly obsessive. Is he supposed to work on the game 18 hours a day or something? He can't have free time? Especially free time that helps him learn about the genre he's developing a game for.
I honestly sort of enjoy when he does videos like this (like the one he did about Natsuiro High School), because it show's he is somewhat passionate about making his own game, even if he might have some personal issues. When he complains about relatively simple issues (like emails) is when I start to lose a little faith in him, while this video restored it a little bit.
Wait wait wait. Uuuuhhhhhhh...
Funnily enough, one thing that really helps with developing games is to play other games, especially if they're similar to the game you're making. And as Janus Vesta pointed out, the game has been out for around a month now. Plenty of time to have spent an hour or two a day with it.
There are so many funny conversations that could be derived from that thumbnail, I swear.
The Resident Evil 4 inventory system was the most tedious thing I ever had to use, I'm not sure if it's a very good system for this kind of game. Also I think "challenges" which can be completed through usual gameplay are not even real challenges, I'm not a fan of those anyway unless there's some fun gimmick to them, like the (Watch_Dogs spoiler) [sp]spider tank minigame, it was okay but I really wouldn't mind if more people put more effort into stuff like that.[/sp] I also think the he went a bit crazy with the clubs, to me they seem kinda dull and gameplay won't flow as nicely with a ton of them, he also has to triple his work for every club he adds. I don't think most players will be bothered to try out every single club if they feel like actual jobs. Earning reputation right now doesn't seem very fun to me, it mostly sounds really tedious from what I've seen in his videos. The pants stuff is also kinda creepy. I don't think the random levels will add much replayability to the game, I would put a bigger focus on gameplay right now.
Never actually played the game, I'm just here for the update videos.

THe resident evil 4 inventory system is silk smooth to use, and also very fun :I
I never personally had this problem to be honest I think it's just perfect
Depends on how long his videos are and what he's talking about. Sometimes he just asks for too much from little old me. :(
I think I actually pissed him off a lot by commenting and shooting him a quick message about how he should really be utilizing Microsoft Outlook to automatically sort his emails :v: I mean, for fuck's sake, it's the easiest thing in the world to automatically sort emails by content and title. This shouldn't really be a problem for him at the moment.

Because as far as I can tell, the keyboard cannot flip items in the inventory case. I had to plug in my controller to do it. But to be honest, while it's hilariously amusing to compact and perfect your inventory to implausible degrees just to fit one more egg, I don't think RE4 style works for Yandere Simulator. You have to manage your time and your circumstances as it is, and sitting there reorganizing a knife in your schoolbag alongside gloves and masks just doesn't sound like a good element to fun factor. Keeping it more closer to Hitman with a simple item wheel (and maybe a plausible limit) is more intuitive and efficient, even if not necessarily realistic.

I like it that he's making these examination videos. Picking out features that you like and want to see together in a project is always a fun thing to imagine
