• Hollywood can't stop the terror: Dumbo getting live-action remake by Transformers writer
Box office doesn’t lie, and Disney knows where their bread is buttered. Original IPs like Frozen blindside everybody with titanic ancillary domination, but returning to the well works in a pinch, too. It works so well, in fact, that even though Maleficent is still raking in cash on its theatrical run, and audiences still have a ways to go before the aforementioned re-imaginings hit theaters, Disney has already lined up its next animation-to-live-action project: Dumbo, perhaps one of the less likely candidate possible for rebooting in the studio’s repertoire. THR has the scoop; frankly, the names involved in development thus far might come as more of a surprise than the news that the film is being remade to begin with. Ehren Kruger, after all, isn’t exactly known for making family fare, having spent a huge chunk of his recent career churning out Transformer scripts for Michael Bay – in fact, outside of the first picture in that franchise, he’s responsible for penning every single one, leading all the way up to Age of Extinction. Directed by Michael Bay?
Who the fuck said "Yes this is a good idea. This will make all the money."
Who the fuck said "Yes this is a good idea. This will make all the money."
Someone who has a very low opinion of their consumer base.
they've run out of ideas this is the end of the rope it can only get worse from here
in fact, outside of the first picture in that franchise, he’s responsible for penning every single one, leading all the way up to Age of Extinction.
So he's responsible for all except the excusable one?
I didn't know that the Transformers films were actually complex enough to warrant hiring a writer
Are they going to make him a lame version of the Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant? You know, I'm actually excited to see how such a creation will turn out.
Can't wait to see how they try to make the crows politically correct.
Can't wait to see a detailed, gross-ass CGI elephant look complete ridiculous flying around with its ears. You realize the only reason people didn't think Dumbo was stupid was because suspension of disbelief from the cartoon animation allows you to look past the complete nonsense of flying elephants, right? Live action CGI circus animals just aren't whimsical enough to make this work. Ever. jesus what are they going to do with the pink elephants scene
try making a better version of this

Can't let the kiddiwinks know alcohol exists.
Can't wait to see how they try to make the crows politically correct.
It won't be the same sadly.
it'll be amazing
It'll prolly be live elephant with some guy talking like the zookeeper or the pigin Charlotte's web. At least that's my guess
Nope, that's it, I'm done. Stop the bus hollywood, I wanna get off.
I'm gonna laugh my ass off if the elephants are CGI for the whole movie. They better at least do the pink elephants scene.

Transformers: Operation Flying Dumbo Drop
...really? how does dumbo need a reboot?
Leaked on-set footage
Dumbo will occasionally murder his foes and yell out "give me your face"
This movie will be made with the full cooperation of the US Military and random American flags will be flown in front of a brilliant sunset.
Please have live action Pinnochio next I want to see crazy puppet work only the year 2014 can deliver
Looks like the 2014 Summer-2015/16/17 Movie Drought has officially started.
in fact, outside of the first picture in that franchise, he’s responsible for penning every single one, leading all the way up to Age of Extinction.
he's got to be the worst writer in hollywood, he litterally wrote the worst 3 sequels ever
