The patch has hundreds of microscopic needles which dissolve into the skin. Tests in mice show the technology may even produce a better immune response than a conventional jab. Writing in Nature Medicine, the team of researchers said the patch could one day enable people to vaccinate themselves. Each patch, developed by researchers at Emory University and the Georgia Institute of Technology, contains 100 "microneedles" which are just 0.65mm in length.
pfft, pussies.
i was like the only 6 year old of my time to be all :smug: and say "pfft, needles" when everyone else was terrified.
I hate needles, what if the fucker breaks off in your arm?
I hate needles, what if the fucker breaks off in your arm?
Then all the nurses gather around and say things like "holy shit that's never happened before".
Then all the nurses gather around and say things like "holy shit that's never happened before".
Or the doctor goes crazy and stabs it in my throat. Kinda like how that doctor down here in Florida hit his wife with a hammer.
Never been that scared of needles, even those the dentist use in you mouth to anesthetize your gum.
Or the doctor goes crazy and stabs it in my throat. Kinda like how that doctor down here in Florida hit his wife with a hammer.
I don't like the needles that put stuff in but the ones they use to draw blood I find really neat.
i just got another tetanus booster or whatever and it stung for a second then was sore for a couple days after that, it's not a big deal or anything
I just had my smallpox/typhpoid/tetnus for overseas travel. Didn't even really feel it get injected, but it left my arm sore for a couple of days - like someone had punched it hard.
I hate needles, what if the fucker breaks off in your arm?
this has happened to me before : (

Needles are fun. [editline]01:30PM[/editline] They're just removing the excitement of getting a needle in ya. I will be like "Kids, when i was little they stuck a needle in your arm instead of those silly patches"
Needles? Hurt? Only needle that ever hurt was one that was as thick as my index finger when I was 7. Trainees didn't know where to take a blood sample, so after poking my arm full of holes the took out the BIG GUN and got some blood out with it. Still, I ain't afraid of needles, never been.
Oh noes them needles is sharp and hurt alot, must find cure for pain. [editline]07:36AM[/editline] real men break open a bear and play TF2
I hate needles, every single time I have to take one it hits a nerve and hurts like shit. EVERY FUCKING TIME.
I hate needles, every single time I have to take one it hits a nerve and hurts like shit. EVERY FUCKING TIME.
Baby man.
Or the doctor goes crazy and stabs it in my throat. Kinda like how that doctor down here in Florida hit his wife with a hammer.
By that logic you should be afraid of everyone. What if the guy driving down the road decides to swerve and hit you head on? What if the Police Officer over there snaps and decides to gun-down everyone? What if the guy at the construction site decides to come at you with a high-powered nail-gun? Or even the random guy behind you stabbing you with a knife?
needles suck this patch sucks too because it has tiny needles
enjoy a slow and painful death then :smug:
I don't like the needles that put stuff in but the ones they use to draw blood I find really neat.
The needles they call a butterfly are lying fuckers and the person that made it should punch themself in the face.
are you saying i'm going to drown in paint how would a vaccine help me then
bollox :argh:
Retarded. Needles are the only way to get the vaccine into the bloodstream properly and an easy way to maintain dosage.
Retarded. Needles are the only way to get the vaccine into the bloodstream properly and an easy way to maintain dosage.
Aren't vaccines injected into muscle?
I don't care about needles in vaccines, it's blood tests I hate.
Aren't vaccines injected into muscle?
Yeah.
I used to love needle day at school because half the year level would be crying/fainting at the very thought. I thank that Rugrats episode for my calmness :smug:
Always read this as vagina patch
Aren't vaccines injected into muscle?
It depends on what they are injecting. The ones injected into your muscle are the ones that bruise up and hurt. Actually yea vaccines are, some other medicines and shit are bloodstream.
I hate needles, even though i know it doesn't hurt at all. Just thinking that it penetrates my skin and pumps shit into my body makes me.. realize how gay it sounds... :ohdear:
I do not like needles but at the same time I am not a pussy about it, you just have to clench your butt and take it.
I do not like needles but at the same time I am not a pussy about it, you just have to clench your butt and take it.
Are you still in the ninteenth century? they haven't injected vaccines into arses for a while.
