Why is google all of the sudden changing
I used to be a huge Google fan. I still sort of like them, but if they keep this shit up I'm done.

Looking at Google's track-record, this is just stupid. Google's been accused of breaching privacy on multiple occasions. This, plus their perceived alliance with Verizon that could break apart Net Neutrality, is making Google's slogan "Don't Be Evil" complete bullshit. Trying to help China search unfiltered was nice, but it doesn't even out all this other shit. Also, to all of the people bitching that anonymity is a bad thing because of 4channers or "cyber-bullying", you aren't seeing this deep enough. If you want everybody to be public on the internet, we may as well be in a police state rather than a democracy.

with anonymity we have privacy and the feeling of security. the internet would be so much less exciting with your private information all over the place.

I'm just worried that this will succeed. Google and Youtube are too big to fail so easily.
