October was the deadliest month in Iraq in more than five years, with almost 1,000 people killed and hundreds more wounded, the United Nations said Friday.
The majority of the 979 deaths were civilians, rather than policemen or soldiers, meaning on average more than 30 non-enforcement personnel died in violent circumstances every day.
The figures, released by the UN Mission to help Iraq (UNAMI), said that 158 civilian police and 127 members of the security force were killed -- making October the bloodiest month since April 2008.
In addition, 1,793 people were wounded, including 218 civilian police and 109 security force members.

“I thanked President Obama for the United States’ work in supporting education in Pakistan and Afghanistan and for Syrian refugees. I also expressed my concerns that drone attacks are fueling terrorism. Innocent victims are killed in these acts, and they lead to resentment among the Pakistani people. If we refocus efforts on education it will make a big impact.” -Malala Yousafzai
He really has no idea that we're not here to make the country better, just secure it's oil assets.

Most of the US' oil doesn't even come from the middle east or Pakistan.
Every time I read an uninformed post like this, it's like a flash back to 2005.

Drone strikes help secure oil assets?

It's about control and nothing else. America wants allies and nations loyal to it that will cooperate with it when needed.

I think this post right here is a big reason why people should be a bit more trusting of their government. Everyone thinks they know anything about everything in the country. Yeah, we have some pretty big problems sure, But mostly i still trust the government in making decisions. That matter stems from the fact that we don't have enough information as the other people in charge of the country do. We can't come to the same conclusion about things like they did. Don't get me wrong, i question a lot of the motives of the government myself, but i don't find myself to be paranoid of this country, and would rather come to a much more logical conclusion about these things.

I thought most of Europe's oil came from Russia? And the US produces most of it's own and imports from Canada.
