Most likely the opposite. Some people make cakes just for show.

the only thing made out of cake was like one or two towers on the lower part, the dome was rice crispy. The rest was wood or modelling clay
Still impressive nonetheless.

I'd be surprised if much of it was actually cake. The word is being abused by artists who think a cake it a piece of wood covered in fondant.
