Did this pretty quickly. I love doing human figures now. Tell me what you guys think.
What is wrong with the upper part of her right thigh? It's like this weird hump or something. Was this a class drawing?
no just me being stupid and smudging it with my finger haha. and no just havin fun
Did you have a model or was this imagination.
Nice work. Way better than what I can ever do.
Back seems unrealistically arched. But pretty good in my opinion.
that spine trench could use some tweaking. Don't know if I'm right tough, just feels slightly off. Otherwise it's a brilliant and boring academic drawing.

thanks for the comments. should i post the reference image?
Oh please do
here ya go
Superb.
Her back looks like it'd hurt from arching it like that. My back hurts just thinking about it. Good job though it's very well done. :h:
Well traced, I like your shading.
I think it was just eyeballed rather than traced but that's just me.
I think it was just eyeballed rather than traced but that's just me.
Did you look at the GIF? One thing is being pretty good at drawing stuff realistic and well proportioned. But there is no way in heaven at all that you can draw it so realistic that you can put it over the original and have it all placed at the exact same places.
Some parts are subtly different, longer, fatter, thinner etc. Surely if he traced it it'd be flawless. So yes, I did see it and to me it still says a really good eyeball. Just my opinion.

Just my opinion.
We're talking about differences that makes out for about a pixel. Maybe 1mm in real life. Just because you trace doesn't mean you draw everything perfectly, you still needs drawing skills to do a very good trace. There is also something called artistic freedom, maybe he didn't want everything to be exactly similar, so he changed it a bit. Other parts may just be badly traced as he didn't see it that well through the paper. But no matter what if he did trace or not I still think it's good and well done. And if he didn't he should just take it as a compliment.
Ok, well you keep to your view and I'll keep to mine. You seem to be "thrusting" your view onto me a bit. [editline]03:07AM[/editline] Because like you say it's a good drawing and something as trivial as whether it was traced or eyeballed doesn't matter.
If you think i traced it then ok. I use a gridding technique to get very accurate results. If you dont believe me its your call, been doing this way to long to be put down by someone over the internet hahah
Hmm, well a grid certainly will improve the placement of things.
haah yeah. escpically a 32/32 grid and 12 x 14 paper haha
It was more impressive before you posted the reference image. I don't think you traced it, but drawing from reference is just generally far easier because you already got all the light sources down and such. Still nicely done though, maybe some more work on the hair to make it look like actual hair.
