• Schools hire "Scary Guy" to halt bullying
Austin, Minnesota (CNN) -- Schools worldwide book him to put a stop to bullying. One Minnesota community promised him $20,000 to get him to come to town for two weeks last fall. He calls himself The Scary Guy, and his price tag can run as much as $6,500 a day. The Scary Guy is his legal name -- we checked. It's safe to say his presentation is unlike anything most students have ever seen. The kids love him, and many school officials sing his praises. But CNN learned not every past customer believes he offers a real solution to the difficult problem of bullying in America's schools. Beyond the strange name and the four-figure daily rate, what's most eye-opening is how this in-demand bully prevention guru defies the squeaky clean image expected of educators. He's no Mr. Rogers leading sweet sing-alongs in a sweater vest and tie -- far from it. He's a tough-talking former tattoo artist covered in ink. Lacking formal academic credentials, The Scary Guy acknowledges his looks and his lesson plans are a bit unconventional. Scary, as he likes to be called, delivers a shock-and-awe approach. Speaking before a packed auditorium of schoolchildren in Austin, Minnesota, he barfs up apples, groans and rubs his ink-stained belly and intentionally pokes fun at the shortest middle-schooler, the bald PE teacher and the "geek in the wheelchair." He explains he's demonstrating classic bullying behavior to make kids aware of the problem.
The photo is the real scary part. Good use of money.
The face-paint makes him look a little like Darth Maul, but well played if it works.
I am going to be like him when I grow up.
They should just hire terry tate. School bully taking it foo far? Lets see how far he'll go when they get a pain train visit and he fucks them up. Yeah, that sounds awesome.
april fools
The face-paint makes him look a little like Darth Maul, but well played if it works.
Its tatoos not face-paint. He was a former tatoo artist.
Its tatoos not face-paint. He was a former tatoo artist.
Does no one teach them to not get high on their own supply?
Does no one teach them to not get high on their own supply?
this is tattoos not drugs how does this apply
I thought kids would just go "Who cares, hes just some guy, whats he gonna do" but after reading the rest I started picturing him screaming at people like hell.
They should just hire Jason Mayhem Miller to walk around the hallways and beat the shit out of all the bullies hahah
Please say that is a real tattoo.
and his price tag can run as much as $6,500 a day
Well there goes any notion that he's doing it to help kids Public schools is where most "bullying" happens, no way any one of them could afford to pay that rate
this is tattoos not drugs how does this apply
this is joke not seriousness, nothing applies
I was expecting that schools hired security guards or something to beat up bullies.
this is joke not seriousness, nothing applies
oh it was a joke i still don't get it
My old school did something exactly like this. Got a big scary looking tattooed dude in to give a talk. Actually come to think of it, it might even have been the same guy. He was from the US and I'm pretty sure I heard people refer to him as "the scary guy" (I wasn't in school on the day that they got him in, so I'm not sure).
If you call someone a faggot

I WILL DESTROY YOUR PENIS HOLE
Dude shit I need to become this guy, he makes fucking bank for doing like nothing
Dude shit I need to become this guy, he makes fucking bank for doing like nothing
"Bullying is bad...m'kay?" "You shouldn't bully others, cause bullying is bad m'kay?" Set for life.
If you read the rest of the CNN article, they actually are slamming him. I've personally seen him come to our high school before. His presentation was certainly different compared to most and I actually enjoyed it. I can understand how some of the things he does is almost unacceptable and might spread a different message but it's a good and memorable approach.
I was expecting schools to hire him to walk the hallways and give bullies scary looks. [editline]1st April 2012[/editline] He could still do it
I'd just laugh and point because he looks like a fucking tool.
"Bullying is bad...m'kay?" "You shouldn't bully others, cause bullying is bad m'kay?" Set for life.
Even better, all he really has to do is just be there and maybe approach bullies in the act.
He kinda looks like the MadTV's impersonated Kenny Rogers with less hair [editline]1st April 2012[/editline] and tattoo
And if Scary Guy gets attacked by bully for scaring.....the bully is fucked.
This guy is fucking awesome. He visited my school during his UK tour. And fucking hell the room was just full of cool. You just had to be there.
intentionally pokes fun at the shortest middle-schooler, the bald PE teacher and the "geek in the wheelchair."
What?
He should be in a anti bulling commercial. "When you say gay, I will find you and chew off your face." That would really help spread tolerance.
I thought kids would just go "Who cares, hes just some guy, whats he gonna do" but after reading the rest I started picturing him screaming at people like hell.
"You little shit, I will rip out your colon and strangle you with it!" Yeah that'd work :v:
