Kawaii's Goddamn Guide For Mother Fucking Noob Faggots
56 replies, posted
Hello motherfuckers and cock suckers alike, we have all assembled here today to read my words in the voice of Duke Nukem and with the idea of turning noobs into elitist bastards. I will cover many topics, starting with:
GUNS
The thing you need to remember about guns is that you should get what you can, not what you want. Sure that VFC SCAR looks mighty fine with it's grenade launcher, but you shouldn't care because you wont be getting it any time soon (unless you have disposable income, in which case you can probably get it). I honestly prefer cheaper guns over my KWA and G&Gs. Why? Because I get just about the same performance for a lot less and without needing to worry about breaking my gun, thus loosing $500. I recommend for noobs:
DBOYS AKS-74

Accuracy: ☭☭☭☭☭☭ 6/10
Power: ☭☭☭☭☭☭☭ 7/10
Build Quality: ☭☭☭☭☭☭☭☭☭ 9/10
Overall: ☭☭☭☭☭☭☭☭ 8/10
This thing is built like a tank. It can take abuse and make abuse. It shoots 350-370 FPS and has average accuracy.
JG G36C

Build Quality: 卐卐卐卐卐卐卐卐 8/10

While being slightly less durable than DBoy's metal, the plastic on this gun is still quite sturdy. It shoots 350-370 FPS as well and has slightly above average accuracy.
JG M16A3
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_166&products_id=5777

Accuracy: ☆☆☆☆☆☆ 6/10
Power: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 9/10
Build Quality: ☆☆☆☆☆☆ 6/10
Overall: ☆☆☆☆☆☆ 6/10
The flimsy plastic construction of this gun is what really kills it. The accuracy is average and it pumps out approximately 380-400 FPS, giving you that extra punch you strive for in field games.
COMBAT MACHINE M4A1
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_237&products_id=4587

Accuracy: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 8/10
Power: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 7/10
Build Quality: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 10/10
Overall: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 9/10
This gun is built like a tank made of rocks that are made of tanks as well. It is literally indestructible. It has excellent stock accuracy and shoots about 350-380 FPS. IMO the best gun out of the four I chose.
SIDEARMS
Okay, I'll actually add something about sidearms.
Pistols and other sidearms are great day-savers for when you need to get close up. Many fields don't allow you to shoot targets that are however close, or in buildings and such. Pistols solve this problem and let you blast motherfuckers wherever you are. Most pistols are powered by green gas, also known as propane. To save money, I highly recommend getting a propane adapter instead of buying green gas. For pistols I recommend:
(using new rating standard as pistols will now measure up to rifles in many aspects)
KJW M9
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_25_151&products_id=3033

Accuracy: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 8/10
Power: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 8/10
Durability: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 9/10
Overall: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 8/10
What is that Kawaii? A durable, skirmishable, and effective pistol for only $100? It's true! The $100 you spend on this gun goes towards a spectacular, all metal M9 with great accuracy, a good 300-320 FPS, and a great build quality.
WE LUGER
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_25_151&products_id=3151

Accuracy: 卐卐卐卐卐卐卐 7/10
Power: 卐卐卐卐卐卐卐卐 8/10
Durability: 卐卐卐卐卐卐卐 7/10
Overall: 卐卐卐卐卐卐卐 7/10
The good ol' fashioned Luger, in your airsoft field! Another all-metal replica, this time of a more unique design. It shoots about 250-270FPS and has above average accuracy and build.
WE M1911
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2612

Accuracy: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 8/10
Power: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 8/10
Durability: ☆☆☆☆☆☆ 6/10
Overall: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 7/10
With this pistol you can be just like Solid Snake. Just without the sexually suggestive name and skin tight clothing. The only big problem with this gun is the large amount of reports of lemons. It shoots 300-330FPS with great accuracy.
Guns aside, lets talk about
GEAR
If you want to make a US Marine loadout just like in MW2, give up. You don't need all that, and again, you probably can't afford it. Although Crossdraws look quite appealing now due to their price tag of $40-$70, buying one will force me to have to stamp a large, red "IM A NOOB" stamp on your forehead. So, some loadouts I recommend to newcomers are:
IRISH REPUBLICAN ARMY

The infamous IRA can look many different ways, all of which can be achieved very cheaply. One way I recommend is with a British commando sweater, ski mask, and DPM pants. Another being with A DPM jacket, jeans, and a ski mask.
DPM: http://www.rap4.com
British commando sweater: http://www.sportsmansguide.com
Jeans and ski mask: You have these
RUSSIAN INFANTRY

This too can take many forms, as Russia has tons of camo patterns and vests in use. One way it can be done is with a set of Flora camo, a green bandana, and a Chicom chest rig. Another way it can be done is with a Beryozka tracksuit and a Chicom. The choice is up to you.
Flora: http://www.soviet-propaganda.com
Chicom: http://www.airsoftextreme.com
Beryozka: http://www.redforces.com
You have a bandana, and if you don't you have a green t-shirt.
GULF WAR SAS
http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/2940/50cal8vd.jpg (its a huge pic so its a url)
A very cheap and good looking loadout can be made with only a set of desert DPM, green shemagh, and green commando chest rig.
Desert DPM: http://www.flecktarn.co.uk
Shemagh: http://www.airsoftgi.com
Chest rig: http://www.airsoftgi.com
GERMAN INFANTRY

A nice looking loadout like this can be made dirt cheap due to the amazing price of Flecktarn gear. All you need is a fake PASGT helmet, Flecktarn cover, Flecktarn BDUs, and gear of your preference. You can either go with the older suspender web gear, or the more modern assault vest, your choice.
Flecktarn BDUs: http://www.sportsmans-guide.com
Helmet: http://www.airsoftgi.com
Gear and helmet cover: http://www.weaponblender.com
The most important part of airsoft is safety, and goggles should never be overlooked. A pair of $20 Arena Flackjaks can be bought from most anywhere on the internet and will serve you well. The only problem is that they fog quite a bit. Anything by Arena, Oakley, Revision, and WileyX is bound to be good.
AMMO
Ammo is a very important part of airsoft. It's what you shoot at other people. Bad bbs will break you gun, lower your accuracy, lower your velocity, and screw up your internals very quickly. Companies to trust for bbs are:
Madbull
Excell
KSC
Javelin
Tokyo Marui
TSD
Airsoft Elite

There are many stores online that sell airsoft gear, some more legit than others.

Any other site that looks shady as fuck
So now with your new found information, noob faggots can stop being so nooby and faggoty. Thank you for reading. If you have any additions or suggestions, post them and I will add them here.
I like the part where you rated the german gun with swastikas
russian infantry go here: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1013480-This-is-Russian-Gear-Thread
good thread though
You should add a German loadout to your list of cheap beginner loadouts because Flecktarn gear is cheap as fuck.
G&G Affordable series = one of the best guns a noob can buy.
Also, don't buy from AirSplat. I made that mistake once and will never do it again. Add a section on websites too.
I've shopped from AirsotMegastore a bunch of times, I haven't had anything wrong with them.
Their prices look pretty sketchy, and there's nothing but 5 star reviews. I'd say no but I've never shopped there before.
The IRA dude in the picture has the DPM pattern NBC suit top :v:
Also, fukken saved the sites

I'm worried at the fact his left breast pocket flap seems to have been replaced with a fully OD one
Added another loadout, another gun, and an entire new category to OP.
fake PASGT helmet, not MICH
flecktarn covers don't fit on MICHs well
fix'd as well as added a few sites I forgot.
you don't even need boots for a russian loadout :v:

That's how the British NBC suits are, the left flap is not the same material whatnot
I'm expecting my Combat Machine early, it's coming tomorrow. I got the new one with the plastic RIS unit and Crane Stock. I'll report back here later.
The Raider or something like that?
Yup, I'm excited.
Plastic RIS? Or is it that polymer they use? I'm hoping it's the latter.
Polymer. I bought a set of rail covers too so I don't bang them up when I'm not using them.
[editline]17th November 2010[/editline]
"The Combat Machine M4 Raider with Polymer RIS Airsoft Gun features a Rail Interface System made completely out of polymer. Being made out of polymer, you would think the rail would be flimsy and unreliable, however it is just the opposite. The rail is very solid and does not wobble or flex at all, you can't tell that the rail is not metal unless you actually hold the gun. The polymer rail system is a great addition to the already great Combat Machine line. The use of polymer for the RIS keeps the cost of the gun and the overall weight down. Of course as with all Combat Machine AEGs, a high grade durable polymer is used for the body and the battery is held in the crane stock."

I wouldn't even worry about the polymer getting banged up. It feels stronger then Kevlar.

yours could be an older variant (possibly the mkIII)
'cause looking it up the left pocket flap on the mkIV is a different color:
