stop this, please
Ironic because US isn't even a democracy.
i gotta admit, it wasnt that bad. clearly a lot of work went into making a somewhat catchy song about corporate politics, even if it is cringey. as far as protests go, this was pretty tame and creative.
Ironic because US isn't even a democracy.
yes it is?
Ironic because US isn't even a democracy.
while it is strictly a federal republic, the USA functions under a democratic form of government, even if there are individuals who dont play by the rule of law.
i love how they censor someones face with annotations when you can just disable them
while it is strictly a federal republic, the USA functions under a democratic form of government, even if there are individuals who dont play by the rule of law.
Then how come US got superdelegates and what not?
Apart from being sorta cringey, I don't see a problem? Also this was recorded almost six years ago
Then how come US got superdelegates and what not?
Those are the parties. Parties are not actually a form of the US government in any way, they simply act as governing bodies of an independent political movement. Shady? Yes. Shitty? Yes. Non-democratic? No.

Yes. Shitty? Yes. Non-democratic? No.
When those parties control who is allowed to lead our governmental bodies and as such ensure that new parties are unable to gain power, they are ENTIRELY a part of our government. Playing at semantics is irrelevant.
Then how come US got superdelegates and what not?
a republic is a modern day democracy you're just pulling one of those "US technically isn't capitalist" type bullshitery
I couldn't continue more than 10 seconds. The cringe is too big.
When those parties control who is allowed to lead our governmental bodies and as such ensure that new parties are unable to gain power, they are ENTIRELY a part of our government. Playing at semantics is irrelevant.
They don't control who gets in, the people do. Not their fault that people are stupid and mostly vote for the same 2 parties.
Ironic because US isn't even a democracy.
Ask your parents what they consider to be a democracy or not
They don't control who gets in, the people do. Not their fault that people are stupid and mostly vote for the same 2 parties.
our voting system has been turned to be heavily geared towards supporting only 2 parties, regardless of what those parties are.
Oh god... How many years of bad luck did these 'activists' just incur..
It is more original than the majority of protest held in America though.
holy fuck I can't get the chorus out of my head. aaaa

Want to know what stops smaller parties from being formed? Voters.

Is hassling a bunch of minimum wage employees and some busy customers really achieving anything? I mean this pretty much makes me want to support Target.
This is the real reason Canadians stopped going to Target.
PLEASE BURN IT WITH FIRE FUCK
Why do people think doing this does anything other than annoy customers, employees, and the cops? Why wouldnt you do this where... You know. The "Corporate fatcats" are. Like, uh... Their headquarters, in Minneapolis. Minnesota? [editline]17th April 2016[/editline]
When those parties control who is allowed to lead our governmental bodies and as such ensure that new parties are unable to gain power, they are ENTIRELY a part of our government. Playing at semantics is irrelevant.
Theres nothing inherently keeping those two parties in power, you know. If suddenly everyone in the United States voted for another party for every election for every position in government from now on that wasnt Republican or Democrat, theres nothing they could do to stop that without violence breaking out. Politics are fucking bizarre but the US is a (republic) democracy through and through. Its just that its people dont quite understand how that democracy works.
well, they're nothing if not well-rehearsed. also isn't target one of the most pro-LGBT chain stores around?
Not going to lie, I flinched when she lifted her arms.
Jesus christ. This is why people in the US are dropping "pro-gay" as a big positive for politicians. Then again, nobody cares about anything in this country anymore. [sp]also, why are they humoring the idea that we're still a democracy, and US citizens aren't just permanent residents in a shitty, overpriced, continent-sized apartment complex?[/sp]
Not going to lie, I flinched when she lifted her arms.
Why?
