For some reason, the title made me think that a bunch of Marines in a blanket fort covered in ball bearings were engaging fortified enemy positions

Jesus, that ballistic blanket is seriously impressive
Would this be 100% efficient? Just thinking in a street theres physics and such that may put the sides at risk
embedding doesn't seem to work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?list=PL15KbAxfKZE2GLuGleeSpswg_UjJ_Imel&v=k7Z8SqNfVSU
thats because you embedded it wrong
MUUUREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENS

The ballistics blanket can protect pretty reliably from all low velocity fragments if not low velocity handgun rounds (That is if the blanket is secured down). Even if ricochet was an issue, inside a building for instance, I'm sure it'd be more prudent to spool the detcord to another room entirely.

The mass pressure wave is fucking dangerous. Soldiers can't even be in front or to the direct side of an Abrams when it fires because it can and has killed people just by being in the pressure wave that it creates when it fires.
PSA: HOW 2 EMBED YEWTOOB VIDEO Here's what the YouTube video URL in the OP looks like:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?list=PL15KbAxfKZE2GLuGleeSpswg_UjJ_Imel&v=k7Z8SqNfVSU
Let me break it down for you.
https://
This used to break embedding if you didn't change it to "http://". Since Garry or whoever fixed this, you don't have to bother about it.
www.youtube.com/
I hope this is self-explanatory.
watch?
This just loads the normal video viewing page. The bits that come after the "?" are what matters.
list=PL15KbAxfKZE2GLuGleeSpswg_UjJ_Imel
THIS IS THE PART THAT BROKE YOUR LINK. It tells YouTube to load up this playlist. The video embedder can't parse this so it spazzes out.
&
This separates the first and second arguments.
v=k7Z8SqNfVSU
THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART. This tells YouTube what video you want in the first place. If you want to embed a video, the URL should look like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7Z8SqNfVSU
If it looks like anything else, you fucked up! Go straight to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $2,000.

Especially to soldiers that have quite a bit of gear/clothing/body armor on them.

Especially to soldiers that have quite a bit of gear/clothing/body armor on them.
It really doesn't take much of a pressure wave to cause serious internal harm, regardless of the armor/gear you're wearing. I've been near some relatively small high explosive detonations and even with a small 1lb charge, the blast is absolutely intense. At 75m, the blast is intense enough to blow back your hair and give you a good jolt. Most of the time that a concrete wall is breached, they use C4 based detpacks that are approximately 1.25lbs(the US M112 demo charge for example), and they use several of them. C4 is much, MUCH more powerful than the stuff i've seen (tannerite or binary compound). As for standard doors, they use shotguns with special breaching rounds that are effectively compressed zinc powder to blow the hinges and the lock off, which they then kick down. For reference, internal bleeding can occur from only 2-4 psi of blast overpressure, while limbs can be blown off by pretty much anything above 10 psi.
