Watch_Dogs torrent secretly installing a Bitcoin miner on thousands of computers
One of the most seeded copies of Watch Dogs available online is reported to also install a Bitcoin mining virus on the computer of its victims. Blue Screen crashes, additional power consumption, and an overall unstable computer await those unlucky pirates that couldn’t wait for release day or didn’t want to spend the cash for a legit copy of Watch Dogs.
suck shit for pirating
had it coming if you downloaded a pre release leak crack and didn't inspect a little bit further
Reminds me of that 'GTA5 PC' torrent that installed like 18 gigabytes of viruses and trojans or some shit to your computer
suck shit for pirating
Yeah fuck all those people for downloading stuff because they don't feel like paying 40+ bucks for a game that they won't even have a complete version of because of all the preorder bullshit
And fuck poor people too

And fuck dumb people, for pirating a game two days before release

Gee, you must be new to the internet.
Leaks do happen, and they aren't that rare...
[editline]something[/editline]
I mean sure, who the fuck doesn't check to find info about a leak before downloading, but still leaks did happen in the past, and they will still happen. The guy could also just make this torrent after release and still infect shitton of computers.

Because you're poor you should be allowed to [del]steal[/del]try before you buy with no intention of buying?

Yes. Fuck them.
Do you think people should get away with stealing cars because they don't have enough money to buy one, or because driving a cheap car isn't the same as driving a supercar?
I don't like the preorder shit, but that does not make it okay to pirate.
Yes. Fuck them.

And again people compare downloading a game, making a COPY of it for free, to stealing something, which kind of doesn't work like piracy because you take the original...

LOL that's the dumbest excuse for pirating ever
Add demos to more games so I can actually see for myself if the game is worth buying rather than listening to someone that might have completely different opinions to me.
seriously its pretty the main reason why i would ever pirate anything, because I'd like to see if it runs on my system and if the game is actually good
Why don't they pay for the game like EVERYONE ELSE. You think a game is that great? Support the companies by buying the game so they can continue to create these fucking masterpieces.
i dont remember the last time i pirated a game. buying things and having them work is just so much easier than having to routinely go through shit crack methods and dealing with this kind of shit
if i don't think a game is worth buying then i won't play it. simple as
piracy is still piracy, regardless of your intentions and or what you think of the product

As much as I am against pirating, my friend who does it all the time has the reasoning that it's not like stealing a car, it's like making yourself a copy of it so that the person that owned the original gets to keep it. But of course it's still "stealing" in the sense that whatever company sells that car doesn't get anything for your ownership of a copy of their car.

The modern PC gamer has access to GOG and Steam. There are no more excuses.
Reminds me of that 'GTA5 PC' torrent that installed like 40 gigabytes of viruses or some shit to your computer
lmao what
LOL that's the dumbest excuse for pirating ever
Pretty sure the actual reason people pirate is because they dont feel like paying money for things, not sure what other reason there could be???
LOL that's the dumbest excuse for pirating ever
I'd say it's a fairly legit reason, I won't continue with this because I don't know the limits to warez banning
^ poster above nailed it

stealing physical goods causes the company to lose money. choosing not to buy a game doesn't. there's a big difference. we're also talking about a company that has released unplayable port after unplayable port for neigh on a decade, and gone on to claim that PC isn't a relevant platform because statistically 90% of its users only play pirated games.
they were too dumb and too lazy to make decent PC products then got mad when nobody bought them and tried to fuck over the PC community by discouraging other developers from making PC products. please give me one reason why anybody should give a single dollar to a company which is by all accounts the scum of the gaming industry
Pretty sure the actual reason people pirate is because they dont feel like paying money for things, not sure what other reason there could be???
They think they're entitled to it because they can't afford it.
That way of thinking is only applicable to stuff like housing, water and food, not luxury items such as games.
So wait, they made an article out of ONE single post? Is it even confirmed? I saw lots of people say it was fine and did nothing to their PC while one guy continuously spammed that message when I checked out the thingy.
Pretty sure the actual reason people pirate is because they dont feel like paying money for things, not sure what other reason there could be???
plenty of people pirate games as a stress taster to see if they can even run games in the first place. demos died out over the years so there aren't many other ways
if you pirate a game, put 100+ hours in to it and still complain about how you don't think it's worth paying for you deserve whatever limits your isp decides to impose on you
Because video games should be so high on the priority list when you're poor.
this is smart, way to go uploader
I don't pirate games not for some stupid moral reason, i just don't pirate games all that much unless it's unavailable and I just want to try a game.

Yeah not quite sure if that is actually legit or not.
LOL that's the dumbest excuse for pirating ever
It depends.
Is the game hyped beyond belief and/or doesn't have a demo available? Try before buying.
Otherwise it's a waste of 40 bucks if you end up not liking the game.
Does it make you a bad person if you preordered and are busy impatient?
The modern PC gamer has access to GOG and Steam. There are no more excuses.
GOG only sells old and independent games, so it's not even a good example.
When a game is sold 40 Euros (so $55) without a single demo on the horizon and the only word you can take is the one of developers and people who may not even have the same tastes as you, the only way to make your own opinion of the game is to find it some other way.
I don't pirate often, I only do it when I'm not certain about the game and when the price exceeds 20 bucks. And even then, I don't play the game entirely, I try it and if I like it I buy it as soon as possible. If the game sucks then I uninstall it and congratulate myself for having saved money on a game that would have been a waste of money.
Let me be clear, pirating is a fucking chore nowadays because it's basically faster to straight up purchase and download a game on steam, but when a game is as expensive as 50 dollars I am not willing to pay for it blindfolded or only based on the appreciation of others who may or may not even have the same tastes as me.
