The speech transcripts, a major subject of contention during the Democratic primary, include quotes from Clinton about her distance from middle-class life (“I’m kind of far removed”); her vision of strategic governing (“you need both a public and a private position”); and her views on Wall Street, health care, and trade policy (“my dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders”). John Podesta, the Clinton campaign chairman, was the latest victim in a wave of hacks on key figures in Democratic politics and the political establishment in what administration officials say is an effort by Russia to undermine the election.
It's all going on tonight eh All the excerpts are in the link
Why must we be stuck in this hellhole
An overwhelming majority of these are really mundane
What do we call this, Fuckup Friday or something
"I don't know what it's like to be middle class because I'm not" oh god stop the presses
This is very... not scandalous. Or at least it doesn't reveal anything new, beyond Hillary admitting she is out of touch with middle class. So at least she is self-aware of that problem.
No matter what the leak contains, I can see what's going to happen here "Well, while the biased media was busy reporting on Mr Trump's harmless banter from ten years ago, we got several excerpts from Clinton's paid speeches in which she implied that she enjoys killing children, where was the reporting on that?" I don't think it will save him though
An overwhelming majority of these are really mundane
Paid speeches are made just for the monetary transaction. Just like how there are operations that literally do nothing but waste time so that the money being "spent" is actually just being laundered.
Wait, this is it? This is the email scandal that everyone's throwing shit at Hillary for? This is all of it? If it is, then why the fuck are complaining about?

oh i didn't know it was common, i'm used to hearing "the game" in a very negative sense.
when you call it "the game" that's a good indicator that it is rigged and that she knows it
Here's the full context of that
Now, it's important to recognize the vital role that the financial markets play in our economy and that so many of you are contributing to. To function effectively those markets and the men and women who shape them have to command trust and confidence, because we all rely on the market's transparency and integrity. So even if it may not be 100 percent true, if the perception is that somehow the game is rigged, that should be a problem for all of us, and we have to be willing to make that absolutely clear. And if there are issues, if there's wrongdoing, people have to be held accountable and we have to try to deter future bad behavior, because the public trust is at the core of both a free market economy and a democracy.
It'd be a total bomb if it turns out all of the supposed worried emails are just mundane old people gripes. "Clinton isn't sure if she should buy the store brand or the named brand." "Clinton has a humorous Taco Bell story." "Clinton sends a funny video of a dog in a lobster costume to her husband."
when you call it "the game" that's a good indicator that it is rigged and that she knows it
Err, no. May not be a common turn of phrase up in Canuckistan but using "the game" is pretty common down here. "Play the game" is used in a lot of cases, even politics
oh i didn't know it was common, i'm used to hearing "the game" in a very negative sense.
Nah. In America, calling something "the game" tends to make it less important than it is, yeah, but you hear it tossed around a lot. [editline]7th October 2016[/editline] I.E when people say stuff like "he doesn't really play by the rules" could be in regards to everyone from a football player to a CEO
Why the heck didn't she want to release these? They seem fine outside of private and public beliefs but that's only bad from an optics perspective.
Why the heck didn't she want to release these? They could have easily spin it how even when sick she found strength to pay respects to the victims. But instead, they went full denial mode until videos went up then quietly admitted she had pneumonia. Same shit with this, she really should fire her PR team. They done more damage to her reputation then helped.
Why the heck didn't she want to release these? How is she going to make those sweet dollar bills if she just gives everyone a transcript?
I feel like this actually helps her more than it could hurt her.
I'm no Clinton fan, but those transcripts honestly weren't all that bad. I do, however, hope that it was only speeches being made at face value and that those speeches weren't just a front for transactions to lubricate political favors. As long as that is not the case to a bad extent, I'm honestly fine with it for the most part.
The speeches could be the most mundane things, but people will take stuff out of context and sell it as "Crooked Hillary said this in one of her private speeches to big businesses."
The speeches could be the most mundane things, but people will take stuff out of context and sell it as "Crooked Hillary said this in one of her private speeches to big businesses."
Yeah, I think that is the point of why they wrote up those different labels/titles in the email over potential controversies. It reminds me of the "Basement Dwellers" situation.
This is the problem with people hating on Clinton. A lot (not all) of these headlines are just that - headlines. There's nothing to back up the reasoning that they're controversial, or whatever, a lot of these things are just normal things she does that she gets completely dogpiled for Huffington Post talks about how she wouldn't get half as much flak if she wasn't a woman and I actually agree with them for the most part. I don't think it excuses her mistakes as sos but I really doubt anyone would have seen bush doing paid speeches and given a shit, or obama even The whole idea of this corrupt clinton foundation that has people murdered, theories about her wanting to kill Julian Assange, etc etc. So stupid all of it
Dear John, Because the War in Space race is heating up, I felt you should be aware of several factors as you and I schedule our Skype talk.
