Australian fisherman reels in what is basically a monster
If you thought great whites were terrifying, think again. A rare frilled shark has been pulled from the waters of Victoria, Australia, and it is the stuff horror movies are made of.
The frilled shark, which looks like an ancient sea monster and is known as a "living fossil," has ancestors dating back 80 million years. Rarely seen by humans, skipper David Guillot caught the bizarre creature on a fishing trawler near Lakes Entrance in the state's southeastern region, scaring the living bejeezus out of all on board.
The creature, which lives in waters less than 1,200 metres deep, has the body of an eel and the tail of a shark, with 300 teeth in 25 rows. The frilled shark gets its name from six pairs of gill slits near its neck, and captures prey by bending its body and lunging forward in a snake-like manner.
Life finds a way
that's an exceptionally angry dildo he got there
Of all the places in the world, it was caught in Australia :v:
Not even the water is safe.
Little does the fisherman know that this is just one of the tongues of the true monster.
Somebody call Burt Gummer.
I wonder what it would taste like.
Ancient sushi anyone?

I still haven't found someone who can recognize what type of fish this is:

My brother-in-law caught that ??? fish back in 2013 (February), took it home, freaked the fuck out of his wife, who in turn threw it in the trash dumpster, calling it a "devil" fish.
All I got left is this pic, and I've sent it to some fish-afficionados in my local area, but to no avail.

I'm pretty sure that's a large plecostomus.
I'm no fisherman, but something about that fish just doesn't look right.
Hehe that looks like a child of a eel and a shark. The one in the pic looks uglier than usual
Maybe it's a deformed, mutant fish that has come to take revenge on the fishermen for all the brothers in arms they lost in the sea.

That's a Plecostomus. I have one of those, and I use to have 2 bigass ones
Funny thing is that I have a phobia of small fish, especially goldfish, but freakish fish like this have never bothered me.
But then again, I'm only afraid of small pan fish because of childhood events.

Trust me, you don't know what you're talking about. My brother-in-law is a "freak" fisherman, and lives in a village full of fishermen, people who catch fish for food & industrial distribution.

After some of your imput, I did some googling and found out it's indeed a pleco, more exactly...
... a member of the "Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps" family.
Weird thing is, this fish type is considered an "acquarium only" catfish, it's not fished anywhere in Romania, it's only available at special shops.
Thus the dillema...
that's an exceptionally angry dildo he got there
It's literally a dragon dildo.

Mate, the fucking trees aren't safe.
Gympie Gympie, covered in tiny hairs that can cause fucking months of painful stinging so intense that it drives people to shoot themselves and animals to jump off cliffs, providing the toxin doesn't kill them first.
freaked the fuck out of his wife, who in turn threw it in the trash dumpster, calling it a "devil" fish.
These kinds of people annoy me to no end.
